Most streamers and youtubers are huge babies.. sniping is no longer a crutch.. it takes skill now, get over it

it's all over the place.. Everyone is upset about the change to snipers (most notably, the added flinch)
Personally, I love the change. It creates a much bigger skill gap. We used to get scared coming around a corner and some asshole is just crouched hardscoping with a glare (probably been there for 2 mintues). Now? We get excited because our primary will keep them at bay.. now if they happen to get a headshot, it was a lucky mishap (or they are really good) can't get mad at that..
Being honest. The added flinch was much needed. Making it very hard to hit previously easy shots.
I just find it funny that a lot of people are contemplating quiting sniping or destiny altogether because the easy sniping "fun" factor is gone.. [b]perfect exapmle of all the sheep that play this game and need the "Meta" to compete[/b]
Thoughts? Opinions?
Edit: a lot of people didn't like the damage nerf. But it makes sense. Only the highest impact snipers (if any) should be able to one shot someone out of a super.

If someone is hardscoping and you get sniped that's your fault. Maybe you shouldn't have went that way. It's better than them sitting there for 2 minutes with a shotgun. Honestly kid get good smh

Sniping has always taken skill. What are you taking about. Shotguns take no skill. Snipers always have. It's kids like you that don't know what aim assist is really is. I'll explain it to you. Aim assist is not helping you get headshot a by having the bullet curve or something like that. All it does is makes your reticle slow down when you aim in on an enemy. Know you know kid. Stop crying on the forums. The sniper nerf was stupid. It happened because shotgunners like you complained because people were good and could snipe you when you slid near them or jumped.

I'm a sniper, and I'm staying a sniper, and I agree with what they did in the nerf -- EXCEPT for the damage nerf. If you can dome me in a super, you've earned the kill. What Bungie did is nerf the damage of an entire archetype so another archetype -- an archetype with a population of one, is used more, even though that one gun is absolutely shit in PvP. Not to mention that this nerf, for some reason, extended to PvE where no nerf was needed at all, where bosses already take your reserves and more to kill, and where the 1KYS family is the most-used archetype. The flinch nerf was needed though. If I get the first shot off in a sniper engagement with my primary, I'll usually win the battle 9 out of 10 times. It's been making my scout aim a million times harder, though lol

Flinch does not affect the gameplay too much. It actually made it easier for me to snipe knowing that a whole team won't be lined up down sniper lanes. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can no longer 1 shot roaming supers. They should have only made this change to self Rez warlocks- since they are so easy to snipe out of their super

6 RepliesThey should have nerfed the precision while under fire and maybe the body shot damage, not the headshot damage. The problem is that now a super can't be countered anymore. Bungie should also buff the Sunbreaker Titan in PvE again. You can't kill middle tier yellow bosses anymore since the PvP nerf (wich was otherwise necessary, but ONLY in PvP).

Remove special ammo crates from all maps. Special ammo drops one magazine upon CONSECUTIVE primary kills. Special ammo should be a reward in this game. Make people earn that one shot kill ability. It's like a super.

7 RepliesNo its not a crutch, go watch the MLG stream, 6 shotties vs mixed, and every person besides one on the mixed team had to switch from a sniper to shotty/fusion because they were unusable, and they are all top tier players, also says alot when literally 9/12 players in an MLG game are using shotguns, of course you would love this because I bet your one of the crybabies who complained about this crap until it got nerfed, you need to learn how to challenge a sniper, plenty of top trials players hold 3/4kds and main a shotgun, its just 90% of the playerbase (Including yourself I presume), are terrible at the game and don't know how to challenge them, my evidence being that I see many players who have no clue on how to challenge a sniper every day, they all end up dead, and send messages after.

Destiny has the most disgusting pvp I've ever touched and the many tuning updates to weapons never really fixed anything, only created more unbalanced aspects. House of wolves was the closest thing to balance Destiny has seen, all they needed was to give autos some damage. Bungie also needs to learn how to keep PvP nerfs/buffs put of pve.

13 RepliesFlinch was already pretty hard to control. I don't think that the flinch was really a good idea. But I do like the aim assist nerf. I will definitely continue to snipe and shutdown disgusting shotgunners
