The reforms are making the new dojo, if you will. These reforms will fix the major issues we face, and can be edited by you guys! Reform 1: Plots! Plots are, in short, badass. They allow a thread wide event and are more open then quests. Unfortunately, the dojo has had a lack of these in favour of quests. So, it makes sense to add some rewards for making such awesome things! If you make a plot, you will be closer to becoming a potential lieutenant. Nevermind you finding yourself with more recognition then before! Whether it's small or massive, all plots would be appreciated. [i]THIS IS NEW: PLOTS WILL BE IN A PLOT SCHEDULE, MANAGED BY TUBBS, SO THIS WAY ALL OF YOUR PLOTS ARE NOT GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME IN A JUMBLED MESS.[/i] Reform #2: Lieutenants As was stated before, A lieutenant is one who upholds the rules of the dojo. They have to ensure order, fairness and of course Fun within the digital dojo. BUT in our goal to achieve these things we have kind of just caused the opposite(Much like the rise of communism in China, as soon as you want something you somehow become the opposite of it). SO. It's hard to be a lieutenant with such a broken rule system, which we aim to fix, but I'm more wanting to talk about solving problems as a lieutenant. Lately we have just been using banning as a solution. It's...a very lazy solution. For reasons that honestly were not necessary. We mainly did it because we did not have time IRL to really think over solutions. This is completely unacceptable. Banning should be treated like a death sentence. It's the LAST RESORT. Not the first. This will always be implemented and you will find that if you screw up, you will have more freedom still in the future. Instead of being banned immediately. Also, some have called for a complete change in the lieutenants....Ya...so me. And while ya, it's a dick move I'm not really listening to that, it's still a valid point. The lieutenants just haven't been acting how they should. And that's why we aim to change that. Reform 3: -blam!- Tests Seriously. Screw the testing process. It's inconvenient, annoying and its prevented dozens of potential members from entering the dojo. If you wanna join? Then just join! Just make sure to follow the rules. BUT! The majority has agreed That if you wish to fight other writers, you have to be tested! Otherwise you are free to do what you like. Reform 4: A New life, a New thread The dojo thread has not been properly managed or crafted. We have news saying "we just hit 50k!" And an outdated rules system that doesn't go into much detail. Unfortunately, we cannot rely on Ninja to fix these things. Ninja has not been active. I know, old news. He is the founder of a VERY LARGE RP thread yet some of you newer people, Royal for example, have probably added more to the reply count then he has. I am not bashing ninja. He's my bud! And RL always has to come first. But in order for the dojo to change, we can't do it on the thread we own, with someone who can't take the time to manage it. THUS. I propose...A new thread. It will still be the same dojo. But it will be INCREDIBLY organized and updated to the advanced rules that have been formed over the past year. Of course, we willMake a poll about this. I want you guys to decide! But currently, this is the layout the lieutenants were thinking for the new thread. Which you can add on too! THE DOJO -Short physical description of the dojo, as well as what we are about. -Rules -How to PvP -Bio's -Physical description of dojo(full)(ABOUT DAMN TIME) -What we are about(full) -Our goal(Still in the works) -The reforms -Sections of the world -News -Tl;Dr These things will be shown through spoilers that link to public threads. Each topic Will have its own thread! Probably under #DOJO. This is something many(or all) RP's do for organization sake. Also, I will be making this new thread. But I do not "found the dojo." It's still founded by Ninja, the lieutenants are just updating it if you will. With this said, the dojo will no longer have a defined leader. It will simply be the Lieutenants, or as I now want to call them, the Sensei's! Ninja will of course still be an admin and a sensei. So, to another point. With this new thread, we will probably have to have a new group. This is a different decision al together and doesn't come in the package with the new thread. So there will be a poll on this too. BUT. With a new group, we would be able to manage everything much easier. Especially because right now their are only three admins in the group when there should be five. ANYWAYS. Unfortunately we would be abandoning past works...which is something I'm not a fan of...but I believe it is necessary if we want the dojo to run at full capacity, and be able to promote new lieutenants with ease.
