Grainy visuals while playing destiny
Hello,
Maybe I'm the only one, and maybe it's operator error, but after getting on after maint/update, my screen has a strange graininess. It's only on destiny so it's not my tv. Any idea what might be going on? Thanks in advance!
Update: Still no response, maybe it is intentional. I'm just curious what's going on. Hopefully this gets looked at. Regardless, the rest of the update is great so far!
Update 2: a fellow guardian below, standingo, mentioned changing settings on the tv. I messed around with noise reduction and that pretty much fixed the issue for me.

I Changed my sharpness on my samsung tv to 0 as you apparently dont need this with 1080/HD content. This removed all grain for me, i had massive grain, it looked even like a grid. increasing it made it even worse. its not 100% a solution, as i didnt have the issues pre-patch while sharpness has been on the same level for ages Also, you can use your tv type and google best settings to find the experts explaining the best way to set up your tv. i saw they set sliders of sharpness to 0. Hope this helps some other gaurdians

Yup. This was the very first thing I noticed when I got to orbit. Glad I am not crazy and that I am not the only one!!! Get on this Guys this is pretty annoying.

I really thought something was wrong with my tv when I opened the menu. The new effect makes the game look lower than standard def. I've found that its allot better if I turn off my tv's game mode, but that really increases input lag. Really need a fix for this soon, I'm getting headaches from playing with half of my screen pixilated.

Overall, the graphics now look last gen. There's many more issues that don't pertain to your topic.. This update was a huge fail.

Same here, graininess in the inventory screen. Have you noticed that when you go to the inventory screen, that for a split second before your guardian loads it's clear, but as soon as your guardian loads that's when the graininess starts. Thought I was going crazy last night, went so far as to order a new 4k high speed HDMI cable this morning.

Yeah, got one right when the maintence was over and asked my friend if his display was all fuzzy too. Both of us had the issue. Later I told him "maybe it's supposed to look like snow!" Lol. I'm assuming they messed up something when updating the UI... or maybe the thorn wasn't happy about getting nerfed again.

Same here....went through all the trial and error to rule out external problems. Ever since the update there is some very odd things going on with the non fixed graphic visuals of the game. Does not do it on any other game or dashboard. Hope they fix this ASAP as it is annoying!!! Hope Cosmo or someone chimes in!
