Hey onelimb,
That's not how it works. Pathfinder Sign is a Bungie.net account emblem, it's connected to Bungie accounts that were made prior to the old site freezing in 2013. Your Gamertag, how old it is, and what games it has played has nothing to do with it.
This is similar to how the Inner Chamber emblem is, which is playing 4 out of 6 Bungie games prior to the old site freezing.

The thing is, my k777k account has been registered at Bungie.net prior to 2013; I believe i registered ~2007ish? Also, I believe I made the swith from k777k to onelimb (through xbox live) before 2013.

Yes, but you no longer have access to that account. If you wanted Pathfinder Sign, you would need to have access to that account and have your GT/PSN attached.
