Because it might be nerfed.
I stopped playing the game as often as I used to. I am still around, but not every night, and not every week. I just lost confidence in your weapons, Bungie.
It's a pretty bad thing in a shooter game when a player is unable to nurture its skills due to too frequent game mechanics changes made by a game developer.
Do not shoot yourself in a foot by doing things that reduce your customers base and do not hope your marketing team will cover your losses by winning the hearts of new gamers with another red bull or a similarly stupid campaign.
Stop nerfing our weapons, Bungie.
EDIT: removed Bait and Switch analogy.

I love how when a popular u tuber makes a video that doesn't necessarily depict an OP gun/nade/subclass, but they talk about how beastly it is and then all of the sudden, you see them more in pvp and there's more and more OP posts about then and sure as snails hate salt, they get neutered in the next update. I hate when a utuber features a weapon I like. Then I know it's just a matter of time before weisnerski gets ahold of it and I have to find a new toy.
