My impression is this - Bungie don't give a Donald. They are giving majority of players the run around till they buy the 60 dollar version. The agents even said they have had numerous complaints / requests on this issue. I spent an hour also on the phone trying to resolve this issue. Clearing cache, resetting and restoring licenses, verifying purchases, reinstalling and ordering through the website ect ect ect......Nothing worked. They came back at the end of an hour with "the discounted qcontent isn't available till the 19 September" The 60 dollar version can be purchased *without* hinderance and Microsoft/Xbox market place have 0 clue. They had ALL the records of all purchases and said its only ready on the 19 sept. Please give us a clear answer here? The advertising doesn't state that returning or upgrading players need to wait till release/19 September to "upgrade."

  • I would like to let you know that Bungie, as a company, have always been community first. While they may not be able to reply to every person's concerns, they do read them and put thought into them. The proof is in the changes that have been made to Destiny from Year 1 to now. We wanted more story and a better villain? The Book of Sorrows and Oryx. Want a more character driven narrative? Rise of Iron is said to have a story focused on Lord Saladin and the Lords of Iron and the development of Cayde-6 and his interactions with other important persons in the Tower are prime examples of the team trying to get themselves out of the hole they dug in Year 1. As for the other issues, I do understand your concerns. I replied to another user in this very thread with what I believe to be the issue. Also, just because you cannot preorder it does not mean it won't be available later. If you are worried about getting your preorder bonuses, don't. Bungie has always had solid post launch support and will get you the codes you need should you proceed through the right channels. Also, I work for Gamestop and I know for a fact that we have access to extra codes we print off for people who pick up at the midnight release but did not preorder before they finalized. These duplicate codes will exist for some time so just communicate with people if Bungie themselves are unresponsive to help you. Also, another thought has occurred to me. When I try to sell a product in store, I cannot discount any preorders in any way. I have to wait till the product can actually be sold before I can discount. Maybe it is a similar issue with the Microsoft store.

  • @ fenix - one guy wrote that they had a problem where people were getting the DLC for free. They removed it to work on it somehow...... I don't know if it true but plausible.
