I just realized that I've been using The Last Word the wrong way since i first picked it up in Year One. I've never been good at hip-firing weapons, so I almost always sucked at using TLW. So the other day, I tried going ADS and tapping the trigger for targets that are outside of shotgun range instead of hip-firing at all the things. The range falloff still sucks compared to pretty much any other hand cannon out there, but I got a lot more kills that way. Save the hipfire rapid fan-fire mode for those point-blank "OH SHIT!" encounters.
