_______________________________________________ So, I just got done with a rather frustrating 6 hours of farming Taniks for his strike specific auto rifle the "Does Not Bow" I ended up finding some others farming for it too, we all got what we were looking for and pretty much mastered speed running the strike as there is no way to quickly farm it.. TRUST ME.. We tried it all.. The strike finishes litterally instantly after you kill him.. Anyways, If you are trying to get a cloak or DNB I'm gonna compile a ton of tips and tricks you can use to speed through the strike.. _______________________________________________ So.. I'm gonna cover the stuff that is less strike oriented and more loot oriented first.. 1. You are gonna get hella Ether Seeds farming this thing over and over, at the reef, Ether Seeds can be exchanged for heavy ammo synths if your House of Judgment level is at least 2.. Which you can then use for faction rep or raids 2. Make sure you pay attention to your glimmer, if it's maxed out, stop by the tower for a sec and buy some stuff like heavy synths.. 3. If you have a ghost with "Helium Filament Extractor" I highly suggest you use it becuase by the time you finish farming you will be rolling in them due to the amount of engrams you find 4. This one's a given, as soon as you kill him, pick up your loot and go to orbit, don't wait for the game to end, it shaves some time.. I also recommend you have a three person fire team so you don't have to waste time searching for another player before game starts 5. Finally, stock up on strange coins before you start to farm, it make it much more rewarding and bearable if you are getting an exotic every five or six runs.. Oh.. And set yourself a goal, in terms of runs (my personal goal was 50) becuase it makes it easier to stick to _______________________________________________ Onto the map itself.. 6. DON'T KILL ENEMY'S YOU DON'T HAVE TO! You don't have to kill any enemies untill you get to the room with the fallen tractor beam thingy.. Before that, you can just bum rush to the room 7. After clearing the first wave of fallen in the tractor beam room drop your super on the base of the tractor beam.. All of you, one after another (nova bomb, sunsinger w/firebolt, sunbreaker etc.) as the remainder of the enemy's spawn there 8. Once you make it to the spider tank room and clear out the initial group of enemies to get the tank to spawn, get on the cat-walk above the door to the next room, you'll only have to worry about 3 vandals that spawn every once in a while up there and 2 on the balcony across from it.. Most of the other enemies can't hit you (including exploders).. But Remeber to space yourselves out so the tank dosent blow you all up at once 9. Have everyone focus on one leg of the tank at a time, every time you break one it goes into the disabled mode where you can hit its "brain" if you will.. It should only take 2 to 3 legs with enough DPS 10. Use a Black Spindle on the tank if you have one, it's critical spots are incredibly easy to hit and you can keep it under constant fire 11. Finally, when you get Taniks to his final room, if you've got a tether in conjunction with a Sunsinger or Hammer of Sol with sunspot.. Use it _______________________________________________ Using these methods I found 6 exotic, 8 Legendary, 2 Cloaks of Taniks and 1 Does Not Bow in 47 runs of the strike that totaled up to about 6 hours.. If you are patient, dedicated, and use these tricks.. You'll get your loot in no time.. _______________________________________________ Gonna be facing Saber for Barons Ambition and Devouring Maw soon, I will post somthing similar to this for it as well.. Oh, and the auto-rifle actually isn't that bad in pvp, especially with the incoming 2.5% damage buff coming to its archetype.. It can get amazing perks too.. mine had Rangefinder, Hidden Hand, and Fitted Stock.. _______________________________________________
