The vex was soooo freaking good in its glory. I don't feel it was OP. It was just hard to get so few people had it. So the nerf cry babies took to the forums. Instead of grinding countless VOG raids like the reat of us.

3 head + 1 body shot kill guaranteed, op as hell
-
No, it was definitely overpowered. Less than a second ttk?
-
Grasp is .77 sooooo?
-
I never said it was balanced. But I believe vex was a three shot kill.
-
Grasp is 3-4 and those bursts come at you like it's going out of style. I'm not saying nerf anything they just need to buff everything
-
Nerfing ruins everything, because it ends with every weapon turning into "Bout 2-B Nerfed" Vex needed a nerf, it was countered by nothing

Edited by CaptainW1nky: 8/31/2016 12:06:58 AMWeird you could counter it with suros, thorn, tlw, righteous vii, etc etc whom all received nerfs of there own and now we are where we are
-
Suros had a slower ttk. 5 shot kill with a slower fire rate and smaller range. Thorn was complete trash at the time. I think this one rare hand cannon I had at the time was better than the thorn I owned. Hand cannons weren't meta at the time, especially last word. Legendary ones were decent with good rolls. The only counter (if you could call that) was a fusion rifle at really close range. Like light/beware or that other crucible one (forgot the name)
-
Fusion rifle from close range? I used to wreck kids that were 20 feet away with plan c
-
The only memory I have of op fast charge fusions was that stupid other crucible fusion (not light/beware, the void one) one shotting me as soon as I opened a door
-
Someone wasn't playing the first week after the raid came out. Absolutely 100% confirmed, unless you fell and hit your head and got amnesia afterwards. There is no argument to be had, no stance to take. If you don't think it was completely and utterly broken, you are wrong. Black and white, zero gray area.
-
Vex was literally a primary machine gun before its first nerf; it was definitely OP.
-
It was OP. It didn't need anymore nerfs after the first one. But the first one was absolutely needed. It's TTK was the fastest of any primary in the game sans the UR one shotting you. In a straight up gunfight where both people were shooting at the same time and not missing vex would always win. I remember the few times I actually killed someone that was using it. They either were already wounded or in the middle of attacking someone else. I never won any fair fights against it.
-
-
Yeah because one gun that nobody could compete with whatsoever isn't OP.
-
Vex could be beaten by suros regime. Red death. Shadow price. The last word. Red hand x etc. The thing I'd not many people had the gun and you know if the people who complain had the gun would not of compained.
-
Lol, this logic is flawed. Just because you can kill the user of the gun doesn't mean that under a controlled situation, like if you started firing at the same time and didn't miss, they can beat it. Not a single one of those guns would. The vex would smoke every one of them.
-
Plus prenerf pocket Infinity was stronger than vex
-
There is a reason why they called it the vex and suros war
-
You know unless you're good with other weapons or have the same weapon.... The gun it self is suppose to be a top tier gun. The game is way better when someone has a gun other people don't it makes you feel unique and powerful. Unfortunately all the exotics make people feel the opposite because of cry babies.
-
So very much this.
-
If you had the vex straight after hard mode released pre nerf you wouldn't say that the thing was a monster you could dominate crucible with it
-
I had it pretty quick before the first nerf.
-
True. I remember it was the only gun I liked leveling up in the Crucible because even brand new it was supergood. To those that not know: this was before we could level stuff up using motes, so it took freaking long for exotics.
-
i was so upset when they nerfed it becasue it took me 36 hard raid attempts to get it and they nerfed it the week before i got it...
