There are no cons to matchmaking apart from not being able to do it solo or half a team. Optional MM would solve this.
Saying you'll be matched with bad players isn't a valid argument as theres nothing sroppimg you from still using a lfg site.

I find this entire post contradictory. There [i]are[/i] cons to non-optional matchmaking, exactly what you said, you wouldn't be able to go in as half a team. In many cases it only takes one to stuff it all up, and if that one person was not someone you planned on having with you, that's a con, which you acknowledged by saying that optional MM would fix it. Wasn't the entire point of [i]not[/i] having matchmaking to ensure people are a part of a reliable, familiar, communicating team? The goal of adding MM to raids should take into consideration what Bungie has been saying all along, in that you [i]can't[/i] just take in a random team with no form of communication. Now if you'd said there are no cons to OPTIONAL matchmaking, I would agree with you.
