This debate makes no sense to me and never has.
Matchmade raiding is exactly the same as lfg or the100.io, it would just be quicker and more convenient.
If you don't want to do it that's fine, get a team or lfg it.

Matchmaking is nothing like lfg. Lfg allows you to set restrictions on the game, matchmaking is an open lottery. Matchmaking is bad enough for Strikes and Crucible, having it for endgame story content? Horrid idea. Even if it were optional, I guarantee you that the vast majority of the community will lash at Bungie for "ruining" the game. They should focus their work on aspects of the game that have no risk of backlash, like more than 1 raid on Destiny 2 launch.
-
It is exactly like lfg and having optional matchmaking in game would make it much easier than having to use third party websites.
-
As I literally just explained. Matchmaking is nothing like lfg, did you even read?
-
Yes I read your post and I completely disagree with it. Writing "no wut yur doin" after setting up an lfg post isn't exactly having a formal interview is it? All optional in game matchmaking would do is make our lives easier.
-
Matchmaking does not have a system to choose; light level, class, weapons, gear, experience and mic. lfg and equivalent sites do. What I said it's not an opinion, it's a fact. Matchmaking is objectively inferior to lfg and is nothing alike. Optional matchmaking would result in an uproar from the community once they realise how terrible of a system it is, there's a reason it's not in the game, because it never works.
-
Lfg does not filter people based on the criteria you set, it just puts off people that don't have those criteria/won't blag it. The end result of lfg/the100.io is exactly the same as matchmade raiding. You play with a bunch of randoms and hope they know what they are doing. TTFN

People put up what they have/searching for, and people accept people based on those filters. You're literally putting in restrictions to determine who you play with. The only thing matchmaking and lfg share is that you have no idea how much experience people have - that's it. Your argument is completely null.
-
Well it's not null, it's just the opposite to yours. So I can see why you would be confused.
-
The opposite to a fact, is a wrong statement.
-
I know it's hard accepting that someone else has looked at the same facts and come to a different view, but that's life.
-
Except with facts, there is no other view. A fact is a fact, they aren't up for debates when you have no substantial argument. An opinion is supported by an argument, and you've presented none other than "they're the same thing", which I disproved immediately.
-
You have a very optimistic view of your ability to persuade.
-
I have a realistic interpretation of understanding what has, and what has not been said. I state facts, then formulate an argument around them.
-
Whilst I admire your optimism it does get a bit tiring.
-
Tiring for someone with an attention span of a pea, I understand.
-
Ha! You're good value, I'll give you that.
