This needs attention. Vex Mythoclast.
I found the problem to Vex Mythoclast accuracy. This is unbelievable.
So by the stats, this weapon should be atleast be very good at average medium range, and with the recent stability buff that it received it should be somewhat accurate, right?
NOT.

This gun accuracy is so broken, even firing at [b]semi-automatic[/b] is never a guaranteed accurate shot!

Now add the terrible recoil that the weapon has, this gun is just.... the biggest joke ever.
I just dont get how this gun is completely ignored. Its one the most unique, good looking, and awsome weapon there is in Destiny, yet it keep getting pooped on and no one gives a damn about it.

We even went to complete the raid on hard just so he could try it for himself. And he still believes even after using it that if it was actually reliable in it's intended range it would be OP. The ACTUAL range this gun works in is shotgun range. and you still sometimes get screwed by going full auto in there. I can't count how many times I lost a cqc fight because my final shot literally curved around the head. The gun's projectiles already need to be lead. Having unpredictable recoil that the player can do freaking nothing about isn't balance. it's going to continue to be neglected because it's not a light relevant gun. Just as the necrochasm while usable now it's special perk is just a glorified firefly explosion. it doesn't do enough damage to kill a full healthed guardian just like firefly. it's explosion radius isn't even much bigger if at all. EDIT: Completely forgot to mention. It's the only gun in the game that i'm aware of that doesn't benefit from an enemy being tethered. Seriously. the headshot damage stays the same.

yeah vex is my current favorite exotic and while i can still wreck with it its extremely inconsistent at any range past point-blank, you pretty much just have to dump your whole mag and hope enough shots hit them before they hit you

Just like people did with final round, thorn, handcanons in general, throwing knifes, tripmines (seriously), viking funeral, hammers, doctrine, gjallarhorn.. List is endless. 7 RepliesIt's a Fusion Rifle and still hits hard in the crucible. It just can't compete well against the meta despite it being nerfed. The intended range of any gun is not going to produce a viable result while shooting at the endless sky.

Well the reason the accuracy is "bad" is because the projectiles the weapon fires have travel time, meaning that the further the target is out, the more you have to lead your target. Its a more skilled weapon.

yeah, the global nerf to (read as -blam!- everyone that used) Fusion rifles affected everything. it's also why sometimes your Sleeper Simulant will not have a headshot even though it is clearly, solidly, in the middle of their forehead. bungie hates fusion rifles. the only weapon that in any way seems futuristic or needed knowledge from the traveler to make, and bungie castrates them all. even the ones that are supposed to be powerful, are nearly useless sometimes.

The Vex is this way thanks to the kids that got pissed off because they were killed by it, then complained to bungie. There are cases that seems that the Vex's shot went sideways.

U should hipfire it for more accuracy. Think of it like a longrange shotgun and ull be fine.

1 ReplyI agree the VM is a shell of it's former self but it still melts in the crucible! Hell I've used it in IB and it crits at 26, just like some AR's! But for time to time I have noticed some shots don't land where they're supposed to.
