I found the problem to Vex Mythoclast accuracy. This is unbelievable.
So by the stats, this weapon should be atleast be very good at average medium range, and with the recent stability buff that it received it should be somewhat accurate, right?
NOT.
** This was tested by aiming in the sky, which removes all recoil.(See video)**

You guys were wondering why some bullets werent registering? Well heres why, this gun is terribly inaccurate. And this is without any recoil.
This gun accuracy is so broken, even firing at semi-automatic is never a guaranteed accurate shot!

Heres another one thats even worst.

Now add the terrible recoil that the weapon has, this gun is just.... the biggest joke ever.
I just dont get how this gun is completely ignored. Its one the most unique, good looking, and awsome weapon there is in Destiny, yet it keep getting pooped on and no one gives a damn about it.
Bungie, stop ignoring this gun, and give it the fixes it deserves.

In the second week of trials of Osiris (the map was pantheon) I used it on all 3 characters to go flawless. I melted everything, it was my favorite gun in the game with 4000 kills (I got it in January 2015) but suddenly a patch came after trials which affected all fusion ( a patch from February were fusions got their first nerf wasn't working that well so that patch came) I was soooo broken and garbage and inaccurate... I hate that gun and only use it for challenges in pvp cuz it is a joke! the vex had pre nerf 52 bullets, after nerf 35 and with every nerf to normal fusion rifles the ammo goes worser and worser... Now it has 21 bullets in the magazine, is inaccurate with the house of wolves patch and ttk patch for FUSION RIFLES NOT ONLY VEX.. And I think the damage got nerfed for year 2 :/ every time they nerf fusion rifles the vex will be worser... I use it every time after a fusion rifle nerf and every time I see it is nerfed again. (Stability for fusion got nerfed [vex was nerfed], ammunition for fusions got nerfed [vex got nerfed] every time!!!)

Looks like we'll need a Clast action lawsuit for this.
please kill me
BUFF THE PUFF!!! Oh wait... Wrong forums, I mean... Uhhhh... BUFF THE CLAST!!!
-
It's been that way for awhile. I think they purposely broke that gun. It's nothing more than a token now. I'm trying to remember when they killed it but it was around the launch of House of wolves. Before that it was still pretty solid

The stability buffs did not do anything to it, unless specifically stated to have changed the Vex. This is because it's not affected by changes to fusion rifles. Hadn't for a long time. The Vex has been just like this for a long time, slowpoke.
-
Don't forget the pitiful amount of reserve ammo. Hand cannons are laughing at the vex mythclast reserve ammo.
-
My position on this matter should be obvious...

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 8/29/2016 10:53:25 PMIt's undoubtedly in the bottom three worst Exotic weapons currently in the game alongside No Land Beyond (the gun, not the skill of the shooter) and Dreg's Promise. It's comparable to that of a low impact Scout Rifle (with Full Auto) which unfortunately has the title of a "Fusion Rifle" which has done more harm to the weapon than good. Any time Fusion Rifles were altered across the board, it affected the Vex greatly because it doesn't behave like an ordinary Fusion Rifle, period. The damage output was scaled back for obvious reasons which was necessary, but does it warrant the awful stability that has been laid down on top of it following every general Fusion Rifle nerf that has occurred since? Thats it's main problem currently, the ability to actually hit an target no matter how hard you try to control it... - It currently has the recoil pattern of a HRoF Auto Rifle (e.g. Doctrine, Arminius-D). - Shots sway side to side missing targets even if the reticle is on point, regardless if you are firing it in full-auto or one shot bursts. - Can't hit jack shit at extended range. - Zen Moment doesn't do it any justice, nor it's relatively high stats. - Has an awful magazine size of 21 which can only be buffed to a whopping 28 using Extended Mag. - Laughable reserve ammo capacity. The problems associated with it are rather low key as it's still stuck in Year One and only a small percentage of people have actually used it since the launch of TTK. However it's on nearly everyone's most wanted list to return to relevancy. If it ever returned to relevancy in an April Update-like scenario, people will be pleasantly surprised at how unusable it is for both PvE and PvP thanks to its horrid inconsistency and ability to actually land shots.

It's not like Bungie could totally -blam!- something up, right? Right?

Edited by BlaStar845: 8/30/2016 4:14:38 AMI'll start playing destiny if they bring back all year 1 weapons.

Has anyone tested this with the Necrochasm? I'm just curious.

I'm sorry I can't really figure out what your video tests were proving. Was it to say that aiming directly up stops upward recoil and due to that all shots should be dead on the dot? If that's that case there are two things up with this. 1. There is still horizontal recoil on a gun so you can expect that regardless right? 2. It's a Fusion rifle that fires single bolts consecutively however it still behaves like a fusion rifle. On a normal Fusion with perfect stability if you fire at a wall you will still see the bolts spread. Mythoclast does the same thing but gradually. As a prominent Fusion user I've occassionally picked up the Mythoclast for some fun in crucible and can't say that I've found much up from what I expected. Yes it was hit from the Fusion nerfs especially to stability and damage but to some extent that has been fixed in the April update. The gun can still absolutely wreck but if you are challenging a Scout rifle at range, disengage and close distance. Vex will burn through multiple guardians if you are close. Also I do feel like this is something people already do but will say it anyway. It's a fusion rifle. Do not aim at where they are, aim at where they will be. In the grand scheme of things if this was made Year 3 you can expect to see posts to the extent of "Mythoclast needs a nerf". Not because it will be OP, but because a lot of people will pick it back up and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the gun. If I misunderstood your post, sorry I needed some clarification.

So what you're saying is: Nerf fusion rifles??
-
Fix ghost bullets in handcannons and shotguns before you touch that antique. Plz
-
Vex definately needs to make a comeback as does the ice breaker

Hey guys check outmy new youtube channel, any type of support will be highly appreciated. Thank you https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC1LkxxCOxaca_Dm61rYf90A

This pretty much sums up my hand cannon use all of year 2.
-
Im also pissed about this, wake up Bungie!. This does not feel like an exotic weapon anymore! It cant even keep up to any legendary. .. why !. What a unique looking gun, sounds amazing, FELT amazing...what a cool weapon... now its a complete turd. Ps ( would love to see the vex with an ornament that gives it a polished steel look like robocops suit..lol) Wake up bungie! Too many unique y1 weapons collecting dust!
-
Agreed +++++
-
If it was brought up to current power level I would care about it. But I'm not going to use it as is even if they improved it.
-
That's because it's a fusion rifle, which aren't hit scanned like all the other guns. So each shot has a travel time. If they move out of the way at all the shots will miss.
