Vex Origins??
I've always been super curious about everything in Destiny's lore. The game may be crappy and low on content, but the lore is so vast, amazing, and unanswered. So here I am, I want to know how the Vex originated. I mean, this could be some insane lore. What if they were created by a species that wanted to be immortal, or maybe they.... Created the Universe???? No, no, that's too much. Well, theories? I'm all ears.

My guess is that during the golden age, somewhere on venus they created the first vex mind. Most likely in Dr. Shen's lab. Remember in the story when the vex returned to venus because they were coming home? Mankind created the vex with the help of the traveler. Just my idea from what I have heard and read. Edit: Sorry, not venus, it was mars they were coming home too.

The Vex are very strange and hard to understand. They were born in the very distant future and they actually move backwards through time. So the vex in the games present day are much younger then the vex 200 years in the futures.

Edited by The_Krank_Krab: 8/30/2016 4:53:18 PMthe vex were a lab experiment on mercury that went wrong back in the golden age maybe in order to help with the teraforming of the planet they accidentally created the vex they tested them with AI witch the vex saw what the human scientist were doing to them so they waited for the humans to build them a body to start their plan, to create a perfect universe full of mechanic dominance. so they killed their inventors and took over mercury and they started to create more vex minator,goblins,hydras, ect . then they moved on to Venus and this all leads to today just a fan theory no solid evidence

9 RepliesIf anything the stranger or what ever you want to call her is from the future and is trying to get us to stop the traveler from destroying every thing. And if you don't believe me go to the strangers weapon it says on there that the gun itself has parts that don't even exist, and the fact that you hear her talking to someone and then the next second she is just gone into that weird electric smoke. So she must know who and where the vex come from and one day we might just know, so don't worry about it in time we'll find out... 10 DLC down the line :/

2 RepliesBungie shared a link about it, the Vex are a highly sophisticated group of robots AI not only thought to be from a different place but also a different time, they manipulate the future and the past to control the fluctuation of time, they remain a large mystery, but what is known is that they were found on Mars by the Cabal who saw the vex as potentially a good source of technology therefore a military advancement. Crota was tricked to open a "portal" to another dimension, and the Vex appeared from there. That's all we know.

All we know for sure is they originated in a different timeline (like the traveller, but may or may not be from the same one) and travel through their timegates. at some point they entered a timeline with the taken and their darkness. This time hop has something to do with the appearence of the heart of the black garden and why the vex appear to worship it (odd behavior for a perfection seeking machine...). The theory I've heard is that their worshiping of the heart made them more powerful somehow, similar to Oryx and his worm. Beyond that I don't know much of anything about their origins

The place that the first Vex were created was the Black Garden, according to lore. Other people's answers say what the liquid in their "stomachs" are, and it's a sentient and interconnected being that controls a machine body. The creator of the Vex is unknown, there is speculation that it could hav been the Traveler or some other being of Light

7 RepliesThe biological part of the vex is radiolarian fluid, a basic marine animal. I don't think think it coincidence that the first species the hive encounter after leaving the fundament is the ammonites which are cephalopods, also a marine animal. We put our minds in machines (Exos), what if another put their DNA?

1 ReplyCrota was tricked and brought them into our dimension (oryx then sent crota to another dimension as punishment but that's another story) and from there they mimicked the hives almost religious ways in an attempt to gain power.

4 RepliesThey're basically a form of sea protozoa (Radiolaria) who managed to form a mind together. Kabr infers that once ingested they are able to take over the person's mind. They probably did the same with life on their own world until they got hosts who could manipulate its environment resulting in the Vex we know now. Deej pretty much gave away what they were during a Podcast.
