Using a modded controller to shoot/melee/crouch at the same time is cheating. Period. You gain an unfair advantage against everyone that isn't using one. So what's the solution? Buy one too? That, is exactly what pay to win is. So if you use one of these, or lag to cheat with a bought lag switch, then you are a pay to win scrub. Just think about that, when you win, it's only because you paid more money, and when you lose, you truly see how bad you suck, because they bested you without paying for it. You literally suck so bad that you can't do anything but throw money at someone to help you cheat!
Just some food for thought.

Edited by Darkwireman: 8/29/2016 4:17:12 PMRemember the good ol' days when PC FPS players would place a mark on the monitors on the center of their screens, and get away with crazy no-scopes? Look, I play with my regular ol' PS4 controller, no SCUF, no nothin'. There's no leaderboards, no rankings, no "true competitive" anything in Destiny. Bungie can't regulate what type of hardware players use in their own homes, and they never will. Just play to the best of your ability, and don't worry about what your opponent is doing. Edit: A couple of pads on your controller isn't going to rob anybody. Lagswitchers are scum, however.
-
Why is this a big deal for you ppl if you paid good money for a diffrant controller use it its not like it's illegal
-
Using a Scuf is cheating now? LMFAO RIP me, guess I'm a cheater now.
-
"Scuf"

Agree

When I button mash you would be amazed at what I can pull off at once. My button mashing is OP.

So if you make your own lag switch you're not cheating? Got it.
-
Anything you can do with a scuf you can do with a normal controller. You can claw, play bumper jumper, play puppeteer, or use custom button assignments and do all 3 at the same time. Please, shut the fuck up. I use puppeteer with jump mapped to l1, and I do just fine
-
Sure glad I play video games for fun. I'd hate to care as much as you. Poor soul
-
So if I crouch and kill you I'm cheating?
what has gaming come to.?
-
So what if all top players are doing this? All top streamers? So if a guy uses a scuf and faces a guy that uses lag switch and loses who is worse?
-
I agree. But you're just hurting yourself letting it get to ya. There's nothing you can do about which controller people use. And some people are incredible talented with their hands and might be capable of the combo in lightening speed.
-
learn to claw. problem solved.

I think you might to edit you statement to clarify exactly what you're talking about.. There are several companies, including Microsoft that make "modded" controllers (modded in the sense that they have been altered from the console controller's original design) that are used in sanctioned eSports tournaments = especially Scuf. If there was an issue in using these controllers, then they would be banned from every major tournaments. If you're saying that is all modded controllers, then you might as well report me for cheating since I use an XB1 Elite.

Edited by ThisMahSwamp: 8/29/2016 4:17:03 PMSo a Scuf or Elite controller is thrown in this category of modded controller? I use one to save my damn thump from the sprint lock in this game. I have one paddle on, it's for sprint (i.e. pressing down on the left stick which is killing my damn thumb)
-
So I'm cheating by using an elite controller? XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
-
Yes, my elite controller with remapped buttons and paddles is official I'm not a cheater.
-
lol XBone releases Elite Controller! OP watches video on said controller! OP tells mom he wants one soooo bad! OP's Mom say HELL NO! OP now says it's cheating! I don't even have to look.....lol No need to get SaltyforNothing!!!!
-
Yea! And people with high definition tvs are cheating too, and people who use control freaks, and people who have headsets with directional sound, and people with good connections.
-
Edited by NoStatsHereMate: 8/29/2016 3:57:14 PMIf you think a modded controller gives a player an unfair advantage then I suppose using a high speed internet connection is also cheating, right? I mean, it's unfair toward those who are unable to get one due to cost or region after all. But I digress, nobody cares what you think, not even Bungie, they're endorsing controller modding...
-
You've got me curious now. I prefer racing games, they're my favourite genre. So is using a racing wheel in online races cheating? Because I'd have, like, a $1000 unfair advantage over anyone using a standard controller... Or what about fight sticks on fighting games?
-
So...is a Xbox elite controller cheating? It offers a unfair advantage.
-
Agreed, paying for third party controllers/mouse and keyboard support is a crutch for bad players, who need an advantage to compete.
