Points system in Salvage

I feel the point system in salvage needs adjusted. The reasoning for this is it could dissuade those who play salvage by merely baiting the relic. I love objective based gameplay, but it drives me insane when I will try to capture the relic, get killed along with my team and the opponent doesn't try to capture the relic after. They then just post up and refuse to capture the relic totally defying the point of the playlist type. I'm not 100% sure how to implement it but I feel a point penalty should be put in place if the relic isn't captured after a certain time. More points being penalized from the team in the lead, thereby dissuading just baiting the relic and scoring only kills. Also I feel as of there should be a bonus based on how quickly into the deploy the relic is sabotaged. Just my thoughts, if anyone can better clarify please feel free.

  • Salvage and Rumble are effected the most by the bad scoring system, but it exists in every game mode. Why are super and heavy kills worth more points than getting a kill with a regular weapon? Look at CoD BO3. With the introduction of specialist and specialist abilities, there are now more new ways to earn kills. Yet kills with your specialist ability, which is the equivalent to a super, are for less points. Kills with kill/score streaks in all CoD games are worth less points. This really needs to be adjusted. We shouldn't be getting more points for an easier kill. That makes absolutely no sense and can tip the win of the game to the team who got outplayed in normal gunfights but got a couple more kills with heavy and supers. Like I said previously, this is the worst in Rumble and Salvage. In Rumble you can have 4 more kills than someone else and still lose. In Salvage there's no point to playing the objective because you are punished for doing so.
