I do, I have ten in fact. Not because I knew about the quest at the time, but because i'm a collector of common gear especially the Khvostov. I happen to delete my Hunter and Warlock over and over throughout the years because i'm quite picky. Anyway do you have yours! Game Informer announced how we obtain the exotic gun and for those who didn't keep it have to hunt the parts and those who did just have to dismantle the one they kept.
Edit: Wow! A ton of replies and I did not expect that 4x more people kept the gun compared to those who didn't! Keep it up!
Edit: I put the link to the game Informer post above for those who want to check it out.

I'm guessing that was the first gun I dismantled.
-
I think I've only had mine for about a year, since I started a new character to get another one.
-
I honestly wish I did... but the dreaded lack of Vault Space in Year 1 made me get rid of mine. As well as a bunch of other weapons I loved to use.
-
I still got mine
-
This post is exactly what I was going to say on here. Lol I have like 12-13 of them
-
Yup; not going to toss it away to jumpstart the Exotic quest though.
-
I only only have 2 characters, can I still get the materials if I start a third and dismantle that one?
-
Just wish I kept all 3
-
I dismantled mine when I red that I'll get exotic one just by dismantling this one. I want some quest to get it, or anything that will require some work. I saw a number of players on my friend list deleting their characters just to start new one and get that gun. I think it's beyond stupid to do that. And than everybody complain about lack of content.

I've never really bothered to keep it because my old habit of dismantling weaker items due to lack of vault space has been hard to break. I'm now regretting not keeping at least one of the 5 I've had and even considered scrapping one of my current characters to start over again. At this point though I think I'm just to farm for the part I need as soon as the rise of iron drops.
-
yes. im going to keep my first one and i will put up with finding the parts fer the Exotic version
-
Ran out of vault space back when that was an issue.
-
I have 8 of them.
-
I kept mine. I now have two because I made a third character. I had a Titan, but I don't like Titans, so I made a male Warlock.
-
One still sitting pretty in my vault
-
That was the first gun I dismantled as soon as I got a better one...for all three characters😅

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 8/27/2016 5:34:53 PMDeleted mine long, long, long ago and I do not intend to delete a character to get it back, like some people are doing... Talking about jumping the gun and over reacting. As the link describes, you only need one weapon part and you'll get it by just regularly playing Rise of Iron. So deleting all that progression in factions, resetting all quests, fragments, subclasses etc is completely unnecessary just because you lacked a little bit of patience. The Exotic Khvostov is merely a stop-gap weapon, and will be overshadowed by the almighty Gjallarhorn even if it's nerfed even further. If I wanted to use a HRoF Auto Rifle with Counterbalance and Braced Frame i'll use Doctrine or Arminius-D. Same applies to it's Pulse and Scout Rifle form, the latter which has a extremely limited and somewhat unwanted perk selection for a Scout Rifle in general... In time, why would anyone use Khvostov? Provides all relatively common perks found on Legendaries, lacks a "true" Exotic perk, and takes up the Exotic slot. This one like it's predecessor is heading for everyone's Vault, and from my perspective will be kept because it's Exotic. The stat above is probably not accurate either, people clicking "I have mine" for the sake of it to feel good about themselves or fit in with the crowd. I find it hard to believe that approx. 4 in 5 people kept that worthless weapon even for sentimental reasons. I do recall Vault Space being extremely limited throughout Year One and still a voice of concern during Year Two and heading into Year Three.

First weapon in my vault. As soon as I got something better than it, I put it in my vault. I knew it would have some value eventually.
-
I have mine simply because I restarted my hunter relatively recently and kept it then.
-
I got 1. It's mainly because I like the customizing of the character's appearance every now and then so I have a habit of remaking one of my side characters every now and then
-
I still have mine, but I'm not sure if I'll dismantle it for the quest. It might be fun searching for the part in the Plaguelands.
-
And here we see the divide between the average forum user and the population at large. No -blam!-ing way did more than 50% of players hold on to that useless piece of crap.
-
Will this be like the husk of the pit?
-
I got two, Khvostovs, one for the quest and one for the vault
-
I decided to keep the khvostov as a memento of my love hate relationship with my titan... Like, that's the only good thing that character ever brought me....
