Bladedancer has had Enough!
Just note that I'm not an elite crucible player with a crazy KD or anything like that. Just someone who has an (here comes the terrible o-word) opinion.
Bungie, the Bladedancer has been messed with enough. As a BD main from day one and someone who has endured countless nerfs, I think the Bladedancer is already on par with the other subclasses. If anyone immediately jumps to say that it should be pushed more, just consider how many more Nightstalkers there are now. It's a subclass that has much more presence in the Crucible and in PvE. Not to say that it's overpowered and the Nerfs should be aimed towards the Nightstalker in particular, though. In a short summary of requests, here's what I think should be changed:
The damage of the Gunslinger Tripmine Grenades should be increased eeeeeever so slightly.
Invisibility duration on the Bladedancer with and/or without shadowjack should be extended eeeeeever so slightly.
(If I'm to be really precise, the 3-second startup time on Stalker is bearable. I don't think that needs any tweaks)
That's really it.
(I would have said Blink should have no impact on recovery, but...I'm scared for being lashed upon for saying such material)

They seem to have no trouble topping the score board in damn near every IB I play in. Both the ones on my team & the opposing team. A huge majority of every IB I play in however tends to have AT LEAST six hunters. So obviously, the class is heavily favored despite the " nerfs " they have received over the years. Most of them being blade dancers. Granted, it's just logical to go with the blade dancer considering the game mode heavily favors close range combat which is something they excel in. As with any FPS game with a competitive game type, players will lean towards the easiest to play class & for the current IB, Bladedancer is that easy to play class.

5 RepliesDeej is going to nerf bd again. He has a personal vendetta against them. Meanwhile the warlocks he loves so damn much will probably get a buff. I think the blade dancer class is the best for the hunter. But everytime i use my super i get 1 shotted by a shotgun. Or a warlock kill me with 1 melee hit at full health. Meanwhile if i use my super against a warlock while they're in the middle of theirs it takes 2 hits sometimes even 3. But it takes 1 hit from them. I dont have any issues against titans. I dont care much about the cloaking. I care about how we have the weakest shields but yet we always need a nerf. But warlock can melee up to 20 ft. And get an overshield. Makes great sense. But i believe they'll nerf the hunters again. Its only a matter of complaints.

12 RepliesI agree. I believe bladedancer has had the most nerfs to any subclass. It feels like the majority of class balancing updates they do hold a nerf for bladedancer. Personally, I think bladedancers are so close to being perfectly balanced. They just need a few little buffs to bring them back up.

1 ReplyI got killed more in trials by a warlock with sunsinger with self revive with overhield that they get and scorch melee and a titan with shoulder charge with 90 degree hit mark then a bladedancer who cuts my face off shoulder charge op too.

Your bladedancer and my sunslinger have experienced practically nothing but nerfs since the game launched lol I have watched your classes fall from grace and could not believe they where getting hit with more and more nerfs.

2 RepliesI use bd and it s perfect now... You can 1 hitkill when you stab someone (even if you are not behind) they add 2 seconds to the super and incrase the range

I for one, think that Bladedancers have never been more balanced as of now. The only think that bothers me a bit is the nerf to Blink and thats all. Other than that, i personally the changes they nade to Arcblade.

I'm with you! blade dance needs to be left alone, trip mines do need a buff for sure
