Bungie,
Take a look:
https://www.twitch.tv/destinycommunitycon
I haven't seen you guys bring this up in your News section or post a static thread in your forums. I don't do Twitter or Facebook, so I can't say anything about those outlets. Anyway, these guys are doing something amazing and should get some recognition.
These guys have raised more than $500,000 for St Jude Children's Research Hospital. I highly recommend that everyone check out the stream and show some support.
08/25 Edits:
Edit: they've topped $450,000... Amazing!!!
Edit:
Cozmo and Deej are actually online with the stream and helping out, along with a bunch of contributing Bungie employees. You guys are awesome!
Edit: 23 minutes later, they finished at $503,000.

Recognize, ? So if you do charity work to help others, do you do it because you are or trying to be a good (better) person or do you do it for recognition ? And they do get recognized they already get early access to all DLCs , special gift packages from Bungie/Activision, invites to Bungie HQ( all expenses paid) , Free Playstation, face time on Bungie streams, face time on events that Bungie visits, all that equals exposure and that equal views , subs etc. And its not the streamers that donated the money its the regular players that you never hear from and you better believe that the streamers will get all the credit.

Recognition isn't necessary for being charitable. There's already been several third party media outlets that have mentioned this. It's a cool thing that they've done no doubt, but asking for recognition is ignorant in this case.

*$500,000 the most a gaming community has ever raised.

Woooooo!

Edited by Der Sheff: 8/26/2016 6:18:55 PMBump. These guys are doing a special stream today. Going to bump this intermittently.

Bump.

I think you find it they put something in TWAB.
-
I agree. They've been at it for days and are truly doing a great thing here.

Edited by unspoken threats: 8/26/2016 5:39:54 AMIt's almost pathetic that no Bungie employee has responded. I guess opting out of promises runs thicker than the game itself? We can't even get a "check next week's community focus for our praise and analysis of the St Jude Twitch fundraiser." How simple is it to make a response? This is a half a million dollars worth of silence. It's incredible. There's no need for them to even cover this story anymore, either. Unaffiliated onlookers already did their job because its newsworthy. It's YOUR community Bungie and you sit back with your thumbs stuck up your asses letting other people talk marvelously of YOUR people. Can't you do it yourselves? Do the noncommittal conversationalists really span beyond neglected feedback and into charity too? Sweet mother of God. /RANT Edit: Saw your edit. Felt this was yesterday and the day before and I wouldn't change a word. If I paid more attention to Twitch and not their forums I would've learned they were on there but I really shouldn't have to.

I'm curious to kno did it actually go to the hospital or whatever or did it go in someone's pocket an it is just a curious question no offense to anyone or anything none what so ever

If you really care for kids , then you'll go ahead and donate to actual entities that are focused to kids. Advertising dudes who try to advertise themselves is not a good effort...

Bump to the max. Great group of streamers volunteering their time for this.
-
If there is one thing they are doing right it's this
-
Bump. It's great to see things like this.

There's been so many of these threads lately. Pretty sure Bungie will be doing some sort of recognition... but you know, they take their time to get things piled together. I haven't check them out yet due to I'm still at work lol I'm in MN - this the same St. Jude?
