I don't know about you guys, but I see the titans as completely balanced. (Just so you know this is coming from a day one warlock main). I just don't see a reason to nerf anyone at this point because everything seems to be VERY close to balanced. If anything were to change, I would say we should give a tiny buff to sunsinger and defender.
The reason I don't believe the titans (strikers specifically) should be nerfed is because two aspects of the class balance each other out.
Aspect 1: Titans have powerful abilities if used correctly. Some of which being lightening grenades and shoulder charge, and some other instant kill abilities.
Aspect 2: The balancing factor is that the titan class takes some major practice and skill. Like I said before, I am a warlock main, and if I switch to my hunter I can easily adjust and wreck people. But titan is a completely different story. Several times I have tried to become a titan main, but every time I seem to fall on my face and switch back to my warlock.
I know people are going to throw fire at me for saying this but I don't think that hunters take as much skill as people say they do. I can EASILY switch to my hunter whenever I want and EASILY adjust. Titans are the class that require the most skill in my opinion by far. I hear hunters complaining about warlocks "unfair extended melee" all the time. "Throwing knives require real skill" they say. But guess what, TITANS DONT HAVE EXTENDED ANYTHING!!!

Edited by Silent: 8/25/2016 2:51:47 AM1. Titan skating shouldn't be a thing. Speed is Hunter's thing. We should be the fastest. Look on the bright side of that... girls don't like fast guys. 2. SC needs a short cool down. And less AA.

Because there overpowered. The grenades are also OP. I main a hunter and Titans and Warlocks need to be nerfed. Titans have a one hit melee, ridiculous grenades and OP supers. Sunbreakers need to be nerfed. Defender bubble is cancer and anyone who use it is complete scrub. Striker had stupid grenades and the radius need to be nerfed to landfall range. Warlocks need to be nerfed a lot. OP nades and there supers are ridiculous. A super that can revive yourself is just stupid, a long lasting super that has an INSANE amount of health, and a nuclear bomb. Hunters need to be buffed. Gunslingers need armor and five shots in golden gun. Blade dancers need better grenades and need extra armor. Nightstalkers need double shadestep back and there smoke back. Grenades need to have an insane damage buff as well. Anyone who disagrees is a salty Titan or Warlock. #Tamponmasterrace

Titans don't need an nerf. But the nerf kids sure need one.

Edited by Tamed: 8/27/2016 3:53:56 PMTitans don't need a nerf. Striker is an amazing subclass. And I agree that its kit is well suited for most gamemodes. But it requires the most skill to be successful with in competitive play against good players, aka sweaty matches. You're not going to shoulder charge anyone in those matches. You need to know how to skate effectively to do well. That's why there's only a few good Strikers in high level play. Warlocks are easy mode. Nuff said. Stormcaller is the best subclass in the game currently and is easy to be effective with because of Thunderstrike, Stormtrance and a consistent but weak nade in Arcbolt. Voidwalker is amazing great and is easy to use because of melee, axion bolts and a panic super. Sunsinger is extremely underrated, it just doesn't have the OP crowd control grenade it use to have. People sleep on Sunsinger because VF got nerfed. It still has an amazing melee and decent super if used properly. Bladedancers and Nightstalkers are easier to use than Strikers imo but they don't have the kits necessary anymore to excel with in top level play compared to Warlocks and Strikers. Arcblade is extremely easy to shutdown and smokes and shadestep have been nerfed to being not as useful. Gunslinger just doesn't have the neutral game necessary to be used effectively and its super isn't suited very well for 3v3 skirmish matches. Same goes for Defender and Sunbreaker. Defender has a good neutral game but its super is borderline useless. Sunbreaker has a decent super if used at the right time but it doesn't really have anything else going for it in 3v3 neutral game wise besides fusion grenades which aren't very team oriented. Striker doesn't need a nerf, nor should it be nerfed. Other stuff just needs to come up like Gunslinger, Sunbreaker, Sunsinger, Defender and Arcblade super.

Edited by Pasta: 8/26/2016 11:27:37 PMTitans aren't op they are just annoying, like when you get consistently panic slammed or killed by a lightning grenade that looked like it shouldn't have hit
-
Because they need it. Plus warlock aswhile.
-
Fist of have can survive 3 shots with any special, lightning grenades have a huge blast radius that's not even shown, FoH has a huge blast radius that isn't even shown, they have a 1 shot melee that recharges every 7 seconds...
-
Why not? -blam!- em, burn the world. I'd like it if instead of bullets we fired multicoloured flowers at eachother, no one dies until the end of the match when we are swallowed by a mass of flowers. Tied games all round.
-
TITANS DONT HAVE EXTENDED ANYTHING!!!
So, I dunno if you have heard of this, but there's this cool little thing on a titan called "shoulder charge" and it has twice the range of a warlock melee AND technically doesn't have a recharge, you just have to start sprinting for a second

at this point the community just starts throwing darts at a picture of this while blindfolded. http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/450eeb8f36a587bcf295fe3b1af1ddf5.jpg whatever the dart hits, its OP

Have they actually come out and said that they will nerf titans? I don't know about their metrics but when i play striker I find it incredibly easy to just run around and SC people - at a worst case scenario it's atleast a trade, where a shotty duel would have been way more risky. It's also the ability I get killed by way more than someone should - but I mostly blame that on the maps (I mean, it doesnt really happen on open maps such as frontier). Either way, it's an outlier compared to other sunclasses' "bonus abilties, such as crouch stealth. I mean, how often do you get killed as a direct outcome of a Hunter using crouch stealth? It basically never happens. If there's on the other hand a striker on the other team - and there's usually more than just one - you're probably going to get SC'ed atleast once.
-
no class takes more skill it just depends on your playstyle imo but i will say juggernaut and no backup plans with shotguns really are pretty broken... lol
-
I just want shoulder charge to use melee energy when it hits someone. That way Titans have to build for up close and personal spec and won't be able to just rush and have a really good tracking oh shit where did that guy come from button for free because they sprinted for 3 seconds.

:) defender Titans will rise mark my words

Have you ever played against 3x strikers in skirmish? Nuff said.

Here's a question you should ask yourself if you want them nerfed. Do you want that before the Update. If no then there was nothing wrong. If you do then you're a bitter angry person who believes in vengeance
-
Titans are balanced, warlocks should just have a buff to jump, either farther horizontally or farther/faster vertically that's Titans, but Titans are better in both ways, I think Titans should be better at going up and warlocks should be faster with there jump, it makes sense because it's called lift and that means going up while glide is going normally horizontally
-
U can literally consistently win rumble games only using SC. It's easy to counter but also easy to use
-
I think the only thing to be changed is a stability/range nerf for Grasp. Thats pretty much it though.
-
Why nerf things when you can balance everything else
-
Bump, buff the warlocks sun
-
I think what's really needed, is some networking. We can't figure out what's over powered when we don't even know how it operates in normal conditions, when there isn't a stable normal condition for it to work in. I'd ask before any more of these changes, we get a real fix for the game. Or at least the bungie learned something and destiny 2 will have better servers.
