And judging by the fact that he hadn't discovered the system when I arrived, it's not only his starting planet, but he hasn't left it yet.
Edit: I'm stupid and don't know how to get PS4 screenshots to my PC. Also, I'm too lazy to do it anyways. Either you believe me or you don't, no skin off my back.

I landed on an undiscovered planet and the third plant I scanned had been discovered by someone else. It wasn't just that plant either, just under half of what I scanned was discovered by them. Either we were on that planet at the same time (and they arrived mere seconds after me) or something's up. Maybe some planets share creature tables?
-
I believe ya. I've found a few people discoveries. One was a gravitino farm. That was useful.

Edited by The Arxfiend: 8/24/2016 4:30:26 AMSo, what are they going to do when we discover every planet?
-
I've found quite a few that have already been discovered. But strangely, in a few systems, none of the planets had been discovered yet. I did find an interesting one though. Someone in a system had named one of the planets Ali G so I named the adjacent planet booyakasha.

And I have all the Overwatch gold gun skins!
-
I happened upon a system today where each planet was discovered by a different person.
-
I've been to a planet and system discovered by someone. I've also had some discoveries I forgot to upload be uploaded by someone else.
-
I believe you. I'm guessing it's kinda similar to the birthday paradox. Basically, even though there are 366 possible birthdays, you only need 23 people to have a 50% of two people having the same one. In the same way, even though there are a couple quintillion planets. If you have a couple million people playing, the odds of a few of them running into each other is surprisingly high.

Some damning evidence we have here
-
I must have had the same thing happen to me, cause I haven't seen anything named/discovered by him since the one planet.
-
I haven't found by any system that's already been discovered yet.
-
I reckon you have better chance of winning the lottery than finding another player's planet!
-
Quite often the path I'm warping on shows as 'discovered by..' by some dude 2 days prior. Feels like I'm stalking them or something lol.
-
What's the planet named?
-
Proof? Until you provide pictures I have spotted a magical rainbow unicorn that shoots lasers out of its horn
-
I've seen player galaxies all over the place but haven't actually been to anyones planets yet as I keep going back to my own system because I don't have it in me to re-learn the new aliens language.
-
Put it on Twitter then save it to your computer and upload it there
or provide a link to the tweet
-
Oh yeah ive been playing with my friends too...... Nobody believes your bs.
-
Name the system for him so he knows someone was there
-
I've found a shit load of them. I've been to 3 systems that were completely discovered. The only one no one else had found was the one I started in.
-
I've discovered tons, once you get closer to the center they become more present.
-
Too bad you'll never see them.
-
Then use your phone to take a picture lol.
-
Edited by kenjikussano: 8/23/2016 2:13:52 AMI trully don't believe you, if I name and upload a planet or some creatures and die before saving, I'll have to name them all again, the "upload" to an online library or sth is a lie.
-
I landed on a planet where two different people discovered animals. Then i discovered the rest. They probably wanted to beat the game as fast as they could. I don't blame them.
-
Yea pretty common, i've had the fly through 2 peoples systems. After a long warp usualy i scan for discoveries to see if another player has been to that part of the galaxy
