I'm kinda sad nobody else is posting their reasons. I want to see a counterargument to my former post, as I don't feel I understand Arakune's abilities to the fullest. Oh well, from experience I know fighting game posts don't get much attention this predominantly FPS forum. Who do you side with, op? :)

 • Well, Arakune can eat/absorb the powers of his victims, if the fight take place after the obtaining of the Azure grimoire Arakune can use the power of the dark beast, consuming the life of double. Another interesting scenario is the one after the absorbing of the power of order, in this case Arakune is unstoppable, because this power can nullify all the others. So, I side whit Arakune, unfortunately English is not my first language and I'm not sure of having expressed well my concept ;/

 • So Arakune kills folk? He sounded nicer on the wiki. >.> But in order to get these powers he has to eat them, like Kirby? If I read this right, that would put him at a disadvantage to Double, who can copy powers just by seeing them. As for the dark beast, I can't find anything on it, but a possible counter would be Double's "Beast of Gehenna". Though technically an extension of herself (seen fighting Annie) it also appears as a separate being, capable of fighting the dark beast. I'm assuming inheriting the "power of order" is an ending? Unless it's the canon ending I'm not sure if we can count that. It'd be like saying "Filia vs. Pyrrha" and bringing up the fact that in her story mode Filia is implied to turn Skullgirl. Ah, I do like this discussion, though, and just got BlazBlue, so I'll see if I can extend my knowledge on it.

But I don't think that the "beast of Gehenna" have the power needed to counter the BB, that thing is OP ._.
I'm assuming inheriting the "power of order" is an ending?
Hmmm... I don't remember
Ah, I do like this discussion, though, and just got BlazBlue, so I'll see if I can extend my knowledge on it.
Good! :D

 • Ah, yes if the Black/Dark Beast is op, the Beast of Gehenna probably wouldn't do much, as while it's shown to be powerful, it's not really op in any sense of the word. Though, that being said, the Beast of Gehenna does seem to be an extension of Gehenna & Double herself. Even if you could destroy it, Gehenna is massive, and judging by Double's dialogue, Gehenna's location, and Double's purpose, I believe as long as Gehenna's intact, Double--or at least the Beast--can regenerate. That's getting into theories, though, so I suppose that doesn't count. Any chance you could elaborate on what his Black/Dark Beast, & Order powers do?

 • The Black Beast: the black beast is a powerful creature capable of consuming the life of the opponent. This creature killed half of the world population and it's residues cover all the planet. The black beast have a portion of the power of the azure and can resist to nuclear weapons. It was killed by Hakumen.

 • From what it sounds it seems like Arakune becomes op, however, from what I can tell, there's no reason Double can't copy the Darkbeast, and so Arakune flaunting its power might not end too well. As for the Order, we encounter a problem. From what I can tell, it's the power of god. Problem is, Double is a vessel for Queen Lamia, and blessed by Aeon, and Venus, the Trinity--the gods of Skullgirls. The Trinity's blessing on Double would probably nullify Order's effects.

 • Point 1: Basic Abilities
Double can teleport, and summon the Beast of Gehenna. She appears to have regenerative powers. She can also shape shift. Arakune's shape shofting seems more limited (though still quite extensive) but he makes up for it with energy blasts, poisonous insects.
Point goes to Arakune! Point 2: Replication abilities
Both possess the ability to replicate powers. However, Aarakune must nom on people to do so, Double does not.
Point goes to Double! Point 3: Higher Abilities
Referring to abilities that they don't normally possess. Double can presumably control all of Gehenna--a massive web of gore, and blood, running throughout the Catacombs of the Grand Cathedral. These veins are often used by the Skullgirl, but presumably can be used by Double just as well. (for an example of using them in combat see the end of Beowulf & Eliza's storyline) Arakune has two main ones. The power of the Darkbeast, which--while incredibly power--if Double is shown this power she could easily replicate it. The other is the power of Order, which seems to be a sort of divine control of things. Normally, this would render any argument for Double mute, but unless we evelate this argument to Trinity vs. Blazblue gods, these render eachother moot. Frankly, let's just discard this!
Point discarded Huh. I guess it is a tie. ^-^

 • Power of Order: It's a power capable of counter anything, thanks to it, one of the possessors, Hakumen
, survived in "the boundary" for 100 years. The boundary is a place where nothing can exist, except the azure (the power source of the boundary) and the master unit "Amaterasu" (basically god).
