Collection Upgrade Inquiry
Hello! Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this sort of thing.
I have Destiny on disc for the 360, and then the digital downloads of all the current DLC's (360 versions). I was looking at the digital copy of 'Destiny - The Collection Upgrade' on Xbox One Marketplace and just want to make sure before I buy it that this Upgrade would work for me, since I have to insert the disc in the 360 currently to play the game. I don't want to spend the money only to find out I needed to get the full 'Destiny - The Collection' instead of the 'Upgrade' version because I don't have a digital copy of the 360 version.

5 RepliesHi, It should detect that you had Destiny: The Taken King on Xbox 360, so you can just buy Destiny: The Collection Upgrade. Not destiny: The collection.

I have TTK for the 360, but on my xbone store the digital upgrade is listed as coming soon. Which is super annoying as I'd like to play between now and the 9/19- which currently I can't. I did the character move the other day and thought that would do it- but that did not help either. **Edit; Ok so I think I 'got it' - sort of and it was not even worth the $20 savings (Bungie you should be ashamed how badly this was handled between you and MSFT) So I called and was on the phone with support for 40 minutes trying to get them to unlock the option to me, they the rep says I will be given to offline support. I said no; I want to speak to a manager. I get the manager on the phone and say, I don't want to waste your time or any of my time; let me buy the 59.99 version and give me $20 credit. He says he can't do that and walks me through this ridiculous song and dance about how I have a physical disk of Destiny (even though a TTK digital) I'm somehow not eligible for this deal. I point him to Bungie's site and have him read the FAQ. I then have him go to the Xbox One store and find the digital upgrade and read the first two lines. SO he sees this but STILL won't agree (20 minutes now hes been on the phone) He says he needs to diagnose the issue. I tell him, you just made me plug in my 360, enter the TTK go back to store, tell him again the upgrade is not an option, what more is there? That by definition is what makes me eligible for the upgrade! I then forced his hand a bit and just bought the 59.99 version, and said I want a 20 credit, he counters at 2 monts of Xbox live, I laugh and say no- I'll take the credit- I'll be buying Gears in October. He says he needs to write it up. I told him send me the troubleticket, I've wasted enough time. So we'll see if I ever get that credit. What a sham. Shame on you Bungie, MSFT a good idea turns into a PR nightmare. EDIT: I did get the $20 credit to my account on 9/8 and they closed my case. They may have solved the issue at this point
