  • Yes, I have thought of that, and my point is that when you buy exotic items for that specific purpose, you burn through strange coins real quick. Even if you had enough, any shards you buy will be burned through ridiculously quickly.

  • not to belittle you at all but, strange coins drop like crazy, as do motes and other materials.. it really has started to feel like players with less time to play the game want to reap the same rewards that are afforded to those who do play often and have hundreds if not thousands of materials to spend. If it is important to you to get those shards then grind for them, play more etc.. if it isn't worth your time to invest in what you want, then you sholdn't attain it. I have over 50 shards in my inventory, every single exotic at 335, around 600 motes, 600 strange coins and I get roughly 100 SC a week that I spend on heavy etc.. yes I play alot, and that allows me to purchase basically what I want when I want and upgrade it just as quickly.. I remember when I didn't play as often and had to choose what I was going to buy from xur, should I buy from xur or hold on to the few coins I had, save the motes for something else.. these are choices you have to make.. play more to lessen the need to choose what you spend your materials on, or deal with the "cost of living" issues you face in the game.
