High Fire Rate Hand Cannons In Depth (Difficult guns, but powerful!)

High rate of fire Hand Cannons: Read Instead What are their strengths, weaknesses, and how do they compare to other weapons in the crucible. - These have a fire rate of 150rpm - Deal about 51 damage to the body and 77 to the head - It takes 4 body shots to kill or 3 headshots (At least 2 headshots needed plus 1 body) - Maximum TTK (if you get all body shots) is 1.2s and Minimum TTK (if you get enough headshots) is 0.8s. This archetype includes the Appellant III (New Monarchy), Kumakatok HC4 (Gunsmith), Zaouli’s Bane (Kings fall) and several others. These hand cannons are extremely powerful with both one of the quickest body shot TTK and headshot TTK. The issue with them is there high recoil, which makes landing shots while firing quickly extraordinarily difficult. These are weapons for only the best players who can aim accurately while controlling the recoil and firing near the weapons max speed. For those who can’t do that I would recommend sticking to the medium rate of fire kind. These high rate of fire hand cannons will have range typical of most hand cannons, which means you will notice damage fall off quite often at even mid range. I recommend trying to get as much stability on these as possible. Some good perks to look for inculde luck in the chamber, zen moment, rescue mag, outlaw, rangefinder, and life support. Overall these are some very potentially powerful weapons but need a skilled user to achieve that potential. Personally I found my self just getting frustrated using these because I knew how much power they had but I could not use it well enough. For this type of weapon to be good you really have to get the best out there as well with the optimal roll. #1 would be The Water Star since it has great stability, range, as well as aim assist and recoil direction, #2 is the Stolen Pride for the same reasons. What do you think of the high rate of fire hand cannons? Which do you have and what roll do you have on it? All other In depth posts: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/209148528
