[b][u]Rise of Iron Preparation Guide:[/u] [/b] This is a guide to help guardians power level for the new Rise of Iron. Most year one players will already know this stuff so bare with me. This is also just my opinion so please burn me lol. [b]Rise of Iron Prep Itinerary: [/b] 1. Have as many exotic and legendary engrams stored. 50 exotic and 50 legendary. 2. Have extra legendary marks stored in the form of gear and weapons. Leveled gear gives 5 and 3 if not leveled. 3. Have 25k spare glimmer stored min. You can use varies materials that give glimmer. 4. Have saved consumables/ materials/ motes/ strange coins/ heavy ammo synth etc for leveling and upgrading/buying new gear and weapons. 5. Have Vanguard boosters and exotic shards spare for infusion. Glass needles would also be worth saving for any new exotics you get. 6. Edge two of your vendors and your gunsmith. Have a lot of heavy ammo saved for leveling vendors. If you can edge your vanguard and crucible also great. 7. Save your Gold & Silver Packages from trials and if possible the ones with 25 marks. Save your shaxx completed bounties not "main" bounty. Have max xp completed bounties in the remainder of your slots [b]Rise of Iron Launch Itinerary:[/b] 1. Preferably have two guardians of the same type. Like two titans and one warlock for example. If not don’t worry just make sure you focus on raising your primary characters light over the others. 2. Check all vendors thoroughly for good gear and weapons for your primary character. Don’t buy anything in a rush. 3. Tip vendors with XP bounties only. Save the rest for later. Do not open those packages yet! Till highest light level is achieved aka Friday. 4. Do story missions first on the single character aka warlock in my situation. Then infuse the higher gear into your other two characters, which are the same. Repeat till story is completed on all characters. You should have higher light gear for your Raid character. Make sure to pick up new bounties before completing this new campaign. 5. Confirm that “[i]challenge mode[/i]” for Taken king doesn’t drop higher light! If it does then obviously do them on all characters. I doubt this will be the case but heck be sure. 6. Confirm your builds for the new raid along with weapons you think will be best. So finalise your builds for the raid. I have two builds. There is a DPS/agility and a tank/defensive build for MY raid character. Use your marks to buy from vendors if you find better gear to suite your builds. 7. Tip factions if u hv not done so already on warlock then titans in my case, while infusing along the way to consistently increase your light. Make sure to focus infusion of your raid character. 8. On your raid / highest light character and equipping your raid builds. Decrypt your legendary engrams and infuse along the way if they do decrypt which I doubt into new gear. Use for marks if they don't unless u like a particular drop. Do the same for exotics. DO NOT SPAM DECRYPT exotics especially. This is the most important to increase light level quickly. Please note, it doesn’t matter if your build changes or you find a better piece of gear after doing this! You can just infuse. Decrypt then infuse and repeat. 9. Grind new activities with your highest light character then heroic strikes or crucible afterwards to gain new & higher light gear. Have fun as most of your hard work is done. Make sure to activate your activity booster to gain more rep in whichever you decide to do. 10. On the Friday, pick up new main shax bounty on highest light character and cash in with the 5 completed shax bounties to complete it, u can do this sooner but make sure to cash it in with your highest light equipped. Repeat on other characters if you want. U can do this later to ensure your highest light possible! Please make sure to pick up the new main shax bounty an not to keep the ttk one as may affect the gear plus light of the gear you receive. See what Xur is selling and buy whatever you need. Then you can buy heavy ammo to help you level your vendor. Save some for the raid. Also save some coins for later. 11. On raid day do the Nightfall before to try for better gear. Do not do it earlier unless it has a tempered buff like before. If it does, do it as soon as possible. If there is good gear grind it to get that new gear.
