The destiny (forum) community is horrible and I'm sick of it.
I think I will just follow the advice given by several people and just mute every single asshole I find. Luckily a lot of them replied to this post, making it very easy on me. Thanks guys!

It may premature to say yet but yesterday I finally through the gloves and went totally off this game. The bull$hit finally got to me.. The new light system made raids irrelevant for me, why spend an hour finding a team for pve for when the gear is ugly and only has relevance in the raid lol. So that's out. Sbmm ruined pvp, it cut my friends list in half. I cant even play skirmish with my lower skilled friends cause they get steamrolled constantly and frustrated, so I have to play with the same higher skilled friends all the time playing high skilled matches all the time! Boring boring boring. And the rng in this game is a joke, smart based loot system my ass I've got a chest piece from vanguard, shaxx and the future war cult all from one tower visit. So yeh waste of time when I can buy destiny 10 and get everything handed to me and more than the year 1 players for half the price without all the bs. Cyas in 9 years.

It's like watching a fire burn near a fireworks factory from a long distance away, and you really want to see the factory explode.

The community as a whole has been very decent, and has come together to do some really great things. There are some excellent people, as a whole, playing this game, and you can encounter them frequently. By and large, the forums are the residence of the pissed, the entitled, the salty, and the rude. For some reason I'm still not certain of, I have found myself in the role of trying to be the voice of reason here. And to go with your point, it's a damned tough job. Try telling a group of 30 people why their hate of snipers is misguided and descoping on hits is a terrible idea, and see how that goes. I am intentionally jumping into the worst conversations on here, just to try to stem the tide of nerf-herding that has been seen of late. Some of you are unrelenting, unreasonable, selfish, hateful pricks. the only way to shut you up is to put you in a position where you logically have no room to disagree, and even then it's not a 100% thing. I realize this is a shooter, so some heat and shit talking is expected. But I actually think most of the people doing it anymore don't even really have any idea of what they are trying to accomplish. Trying to make me feel bad? Sorry, I rather like me, and no keyboard warrior is changing that. trying to make me look bad in game? Don't worry, wait long enough and I'll do it myself on Sector 618. Trying to make fun of me? Like I give half a frozen -blam!-, you probably can't even by beer yet, what does your opinion matter to me? Successfully grow a beard, get a career, and have a long-term relationship, then maybe we'll talk, until then, stick your tiny little attempts to 'internet' all over me right back up your @$$, from which you pulled it in the first place. My advice? Get into a good clan of mature and decent people, and [b]never come here again without a great reason.[/b] You seriously aren't missing out on anything worthwhile, not very many people worthwhile, and you'll be happier for it. I'm only here to try to make some tiny difference in how the game ends up being shaped in the future, so we don't all end up with slingshots, rocks, and sticks.
