Clan Comitatus

Administrators Clan Leader - (1) DeceptiKHAAAAAN PVE Event Leaders - (1) Kai87x / (2) BROODLE158 PVP Event Leaders - (1) Gringorican73 / (2) PVIsFreshPrince Supplemental - (1) Aimee286 / (2) SvenSveningt0n Policies/Procedures 1) Asking for help is ALWAYS okay. We encourage it. However, if someone agrees to help you with a particular task, you should appreciate that their timetable and level of interest may not always reflect your own. For instance, if you want help with a Raid or a difficult Quest, a clan member who agrees to help you may only have enough time and patience for 4-5 attempts. Please be understanding of their personal situations, and be grateful for whatever assistance they are able to give you. 2) Similarly, if you agree to help a clanmate with an activity, you are only obligated to do so for as long as you are able/willing. However, you are expected to put your best effort and skill into the task for the duration of your involvement. When you were a so-called "noob", you asked for help and were given it, usually without issue or complaint. Please return the favor to those who now ask for your help. 3) Respect is an absolute must. We don't care whether you are old friends or just meeting one another for the first time; you are expected to be kind and considerate to the people you are teamed with. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated (racial, sexual, etc). One instance will be met with a warning from the Admins, an investigation into the claim, and a demand that the harasser offer an unqualified apology to the harassed, if the claim is validated. Repeat infractions will result in immediate removal from the Clan. No “3 Strikes” here, folks. Do it once, and we talk. Do it again, and you’re out. Period. This doesn't mean you can't tell off color jokes or stories, of course. Those are common parts of online gaming and should be viewed as attempts to be friendly. However, if you make a joke that is off color and are asked to stop or apologize for said joke, it is expected that you will comply. 4) Everyone is welcome in this clan. Gay, straight, black, white, etc. We have people with interracial families, people with gender identity concerns, people with cognitive/behavioral disabilities, people with speech impediments, etc. We don't have a problem with them, and neither should you. If you sign up to participate in a Clan Event, and someone you don't like or have an issue with is also participating, you may either politely excuse yourself, or you may choose to still participate while respecting that person's right to individuality and fair/equal treatment. 5) Official Clan Events will be posted on the “Clan Comitatus” Facebook page by an Admin no less than 24hrs before the scheduled start time. In order to secure a spot in the Event’s roster, you must use the drop down menu to confirm that you are GOING to the Event. If you want to attend the Event but are unsure of your availability, please use the drop down menu and select INTERESTED. It is possible, of course, that many people will sign up to the same Event and that the participation capacity will be reached. Do not be discouraged! If you want to attend the Event, you should still say you are GOING or INTERESTED. Someone may not show up despite having said they would, or if we have double the amount of players required for the activity, we will simply split the participants into equally skilled groups and run two activities simultaneously. If you do not select GOING or INTERESTED, you will not be guaranteed a spot in the activity. All Events are first-come-first-serve based on the Facebook Event Roster. 6) ONLY those Events that are posted on the Official Clan Facebook page are sponsored Clan Events. This should not be confused with activities that just so happen to include one or even a full fireteam of your clanmates. If an Admin or a Member has formed an event on their own, without following the Official Clan Event Policy guidelines, this Event is still subject to the rules laid out in the Clan Policies. However, the leader of said activity might turn to a forum or LFG message board for necessary participants. We cannot expect people who do not hold our Clan Tag to follow our Clan Policies. Similarly, if a clanmate is hosting the activity, it may or may not have the expressed permission or participation of an Admin. This means that the Admins will be unable to get an unbiased recounting of what happened in the event a conflict occurs. If you choose to participate in such an unsanctioned activity, understand that ONLY the behavior of your clanmates can be assessed and judged by the Admins. The success of the activity, the behavior of people who are not clan members, and the requirements that were posted on the forum or LFG message board are NOT things that can be controlled or chastised by the Administration. 7) To remain in good standing with the Clan, each member must participate in no less than one (1) sponsored Clan Event within a given week and must be recorded as having engaged with his/her clanmates either on the Clan Facebook page/chat or in-game no less than three (3) times in the same week. These Events/engagements can occur on the same day but must take place on no less than two (2) separate days throughout the week. Now, all of us are human beings. We have jobs, families, and real-world responsibilities. As such, leaves of absence (short-term or long-term) are, of course, permitted. However, before you take such an absence, an Admin must be informed. Your name will be put on a list of individuals for whom the Participation Requirements are temporarily suspended. Emergency absences also do not fall under the judgement of these Requirements and offer immediate temporary exemption from the rules. What exactly constitutes an emergency is up to the discretion of Clan Leader, DeceptiKHAAAAAN, and only he or a designated Admin may declare an absence as being of a critical nature. Lastly, at any time, Clan Leader, DeceptiKHAAAAAN, may issue a clan-wide suspension of the Participation Requirements for national holidays, lack of in-game content, etc. 8) All disputes and grievances that cannot be resolved amicably are to be brought to Clan Leader, DeceptiKHAAAAAN, for mediation. If DeceptiKHAAAAAN is involved in said dispute or grievance, a separate and independent mediator will be selected. At the end of said mediation, a fair and unbiased verdict will be rendered. This ruling should be respected by all parties involved and will be enforced by the Admins.
