I have got to say that this IB was one of the worst experiences I have had playing Destiny. I don't care that reward drops are based on "rng". The rewards dropping this time around were consistently crap. I had one round where I was top of the leader board by over TWICE any other score in the lobby. Reward? Nothing. Nada. Zip. WTH? Several other times when first place in lobby and or fireteam, 0 reward. Meanwhile, players with .04 k/d earning 335 Nirwins, or 3/4th places getting 334/335 armor. As a first place player in ANY game, that player should NEVER receive nothing. It seemed like the only way to guarantee a reward was to ensure a third or fourth place finish. That's bent. I had read that this had been fixed at some point? I was mistaken perhaps. It's because of garbage like this that a good friend of mine has straight up quit this game. I didn't get why when he quit, but I am seeing his side now. After I hit level 5, I figured, hey, I would try another round, see what I can win, top on my team, blue engram. I think it was a 284 helmet. Turned off the xbox. If you care to look, took several screenshots that can be viewed on my xbox profile. I am fairly sure I have one screenshot, showing the winning teams rewards, all blue, motes and strange coins abound. I really look forward to the IB tournament, I don't have a lot of other players to hit up to play in a fireteam, so raids are not really a possibility for me. (And yes I have tried some of the clan sites and seem to be able to find the worst types of troglodytes to play with.) So getting high level gear is a challenge for me, IB has been a great way to level up. But if this last tournament is a sign of things to come.. Well.. Perhaps I will be playing something else in September. EDIT. HAH. Just went and looked, so far there are TWELVE pages of upset players. TWELVE! Bungie, you have work to do, if this many players actually bothered to post their woes rather than just walk away.
