Everytime I come onto these forums I always see like 50 guys talking about their wife's and kids. Like I'm 18, I'm starting to think teenagers on this teenage game doesn't exist
EDIT: Starting to actually like the adults. All have cool stories and sorry if I offended any of you, I just wanted to have a mature but also semi immature age group to play with because I know when I'm gaming with an adult I can be annoying

Destiny doesn't have an age requirement. Anybody else see the post about the 73 yr old? And, no offense, I hate doing a raid and then someone has to go cause it's bed time or they didn't clean their room. I have friends on here from 12-57. If you know what your doing and you dont sing the entire time or can't be bothered to pay attention, play another game. Saying someone is to old for destiny or the forum is saying you the 15 yr old are to young to be plying half the games you play.

15 almost 16 forums are a very weird place being on for a year and all, I'm a more mature version of the typical peeps this age around here
And yes puberty has hit 😂
Because games like this are the only way that let's us escape from our normal mondane lives 11-11:30 is my go to time for gaming depending on when the wife goes to bed I'm 31 me and half the friends I play with blaming whisper down the mic , cause shit will go down if the wife wakes up or the kids lol which is why we don't like to play with kids cause we hear most of the day anyway and you guys talk more than you listen it Pisses you off belive me ,when I'm gaming I just want to chill and have a good time #ESCAPE

Dont worry about it. Im 17 and ive met people my age and significantly older who i now play games with regularly. The older people just seem more laid back and more accepting of mistakes.

The content of this forum would imply the opposite. Pretty much every post seems to be written by a 12yo, either a stupid bait post or a stupid post about "what would you do if you could be a titan in real life!!??"

I'm 38 and have been gaming for 30+ years. You think cause I have a wife and kids I should put the controller down?
-
Just curious: Exactly who do you think was supporting the gaming industry before the planet was blessed with your birth? By the way, the teen rating means it's recommended you be a teen or OLDER to play it. It doesn't mean the game was made for teens.

New era bitch. Parents are taking over your video games. Does that make it less cool now? I don't care. Go play outside if you can't game with the Legacies. #nobedtime

I've been gaming longer than you've been breathing.

30+ signed. ;)

I think it's pretty cool tbh, and I'm 17. If they can be a dad and play vidya, that just means they got their shit straight and have the free time to do it.

Lol. If it weren't for the older generation that made the nes, snes, etc wildly popular, gaming would likely be dead right now. Not to mention those that were so passionate about it they became developers and make the games you play today. And the younger generation feels so entitled that they should be the only ones allowed to game? ESRB ratings are just ratings made so that kids can't go up and buy games they shouldn't play, or for parents as a guideline for what games they should allow their own kids to play. From the viewpoint of a publisher, normally they want to at least reach the T rated status so they can target a wider audience. You show your ignorance with a post like yours. Open your eyes and see that because kids in the 80s and 90s collected comic books and played video games as a hobby you can now enjoy your endless amounts of superhero movies with characters you hardly even knew about until you saw it and videogames made by those exact same kids. They made the video game market viable again and continue to support it to keep the industry strong enough to keep going in the future. My point is, when you were still crapping your diapers, they helped make Halo a best seller which in turn made Bungie wildly popular, which eventually helped lead to the creation of Destiny. And you think they aren't supposed to play it? Get off your high horse.

Edited by sprinbok: 7/27/2016 10:09:05 PMI'm 26 and neither I nor my friends have kids. And when i went to high school there were plenty of 16-18 year olds with kids. And there still are from what i see. Point is u can't assume anything.

Loads of people on here started gaming in the 80's. Our love of games pushed the industry to the point where you have PS4 and Destiny - and if you are a teenager we probably paid for the machine you are playing. It's no surprise to me that there are lots of 30+ on here. Gaming is a leisure activity to almost all ages.

Yeah, so what?

If you get anywhere close to a point, make it

I don't care how old you are, I play this game to have fun with all off you, to go through things together like the first time doing a raid over and over again. Or trying to go flawless week after week, and still not getting it. I'd rather lose and have fun. So I don't care how old you are and where you come from. We will get there someday

Get off my lawn.

Edited by Lord Fried: 7/27/2016 6:03:50 PMI'm 31, divorced, no kids. There are dudes in my clan that are 40+, late 30's, mid to late 20's and we have one 18 yr old (who is a beast sniper in PvP). A lot of the guys in my clan have wives, kids, etc.
