Gun Game Challenge - 1 Game 22 Primaries #MOTW

So, the other day my friend LaBurp suggested to me to make a video that revolved around the Gun Game gametype from Call of Duty. So, I decided to go into Rift, the longest game mode, to see how many different primaries I can switch through and get kills with in a single game. The end result was 22 unique gun kills in one single game (In addition to the occasional ability kill), which is kinda challenging because in addition to playing you have to swap guns from the vault repeatedly to keep going.
Additionally, this would be a good custom games idea if Bungie ever implemented such a system!
This is my submission for Movie of The Week for both Labeep and LaBurp, since Laburp was the one who suggested the idea to me and helped me edit and perfect the video.

Edit: Sorry about the song guys, I didn't realize it would be such an affront to so many players. I looked into changing the song to the original but the video is too long and the original wouldn't cover the whole thing.
Edit 2: So, all the ideas are great, thanks guys. I know it would be optimized with a second player switching and equiping guns for me as i get kills. I felt like it was more challenging to juggle the game and the equiping on my own.
The reason i named this video the Gun Game Challenge is to hopefully start something new in the community and inspire players to do something different with the game modes and weapons.

6 RepliesEdited by DaGroove: 7/26/2016 8:07:35 PMThe way you should have done it is to have someone next to you on an app like Ishtar Commander where you can just swipe right to transfer and equip at the same time so directly when you got a kill you'd get a new weapon in hand without ever hopping to the menu. Maybe cycle through each weapon type and archetype one after each other so you know what's coming. Start with cocytus type scout and cycle through until hitting NL shadow, then Judith-D type hand cannon up to last word, etc etc. I love the whole idea about this but the high speed video with the constant menu openings was just annoying to watch honestly. If you had edited it differently it would have been super cool. For instance, if you had no weapons but the one equipped in your inventory, each weapon you cycled through would pop up on the right when transferred over. Do a slow down and a little zoom to highlight. That kind of thing. Music was also a bit annoying but each to his own. Best of luck for motw none the less, bump and upvote!

nice work for sure... editing to speed up the video was a good call.. and as far as the music goes... people actually complained about it? who am I kidding.. people complain about everything.. I mean the music really was probably one of the worst songs ever... but I wouldn't take the time to even mention it had it not been focal point of so many peoples comments

3 RepliesObviously never played counter strike lol. I had gun game mod on my server that if run from time to time. I set it up so that final round you were a chicken and had to knife (which was a pecking animation on screen). Same chicken mod as when someone bought a banned weapon (AWP). Ah the good ol days!

2 RepliesSuggestion if you want to try this again. Use the app to switch weapons rather than going in your inventory every time. Could save you a little bit of time and maybe have a friend or someone over to do the switching for you as you play so that you don't waste any time. I wonder how many you could get next time if you try this again.
