When I red bar(only after getting a multi kill or using my super) I dont have any advantage. Just die. I have less time to react. Then when my connection goes green its all good. The red/green bar does not signify anything specific. Just your general connection to the game. Its the only online game that I dont get a stable 24/7 connection to.
Point being, 99% of red bars have good internet, arent cheating, and arent winning the match. Now when theres multiple red bars, its an obvious sign that your playing against a 6 man party. Bungies lack of dedicated servers has created this mess.

Then you would know that your red bar r green bar doesn't mean shit if you're the one lagging. Also, if you lag and you don't think it gives you an advantage, there so many factors that come into play there.

Any match ive won ive had a solid green the whole time. Prolly cause im hostin the match. If I red bar for a portion im guessing either the host has switched to someone miles away from me. Or that my hard wired 100mbs connection isnt performing as advertised. I can run my internet balls to the wall and have 0 lag on bigger games like 64player bf4. Even with nothing on but my box, I can still red bar. Instead of being able to choose pacific based servers, Destiny matchmakes me with people half way around the world. Then people come on here crying about red bars lol. It takes time for information to travel around the world.
