This error brought back so many people to Destiny this weekend, it's amazing. A lot of them haven't played in a while or even since December.
Most of them don't know that it's a bug and just think that Bungie is giving them a "loyalty gift" or something connected to Rise of Iron.
I've met guys like that this weekend through LFG or in the wild. I didn't wanna crush their dreams by telling them "Sorry bud, this stuff is gonna be taken away from you as soon as it's possible".
I know it's something that's not supposed to have happened, but when it gets fixed Destiny is gonna be a lot poorer, player wise, than it ever was.
Some people will take this personally.

I paid for the Collector's Edition, if be happy for others to keep it if it meant more gamers came back. But I'd also like to see that I get something in return.
