Stop nerfing subclasses, buff them instead.

[spoiler]Warlock main btw[/spoiler] Why are subclasses being nerfed? Strikers and Defenders are really favoured in 6v6 now, they aren't overpowered, they're balanced but seem overpowered because every other class is now underpowered. Blade is very weak after using it now since like March/April. Gunslinger is okay-ish but tripmines should 1 shot and throwing knife should have more damage minus the one shot burn thing. Can't really speak for nightstalkers as they still seem good to use. Sunsinger needs to be reworked, fusion seems to be the only viable grenade and the melee, let alone the super, is useless tbh. Voidwalker seems in a good place and so is storm. I'm not asking for anything to be nerfed but things need to be reworked or buffed to a good standard, blade definitely needs a buff, gunslinger needs to go back to how it was minus the sticky tripmines and one shot t. knives, sunsinger also needs to be reworked. Buff things to a good standard, not nerf and make it worse. I'm open to any suggestions that people have as to how Bungie could make things even for the now weaker subclasses.

  • Every subclass should be reverted to there former glory. It's one thing to miss around with weapons but missing around with class and abilities is low. ToO was the number 1 reason our stuff got nerfed. Just remove everything while playing ToO no nades, melee and super only gun play so it won't nerf everything to the ground.

    • Agreed! it took me a month to adapt to the VoidWalker after the sun singer massacre. Then i just dropped warlock and went to my hunter

        Woah woah woah now!!! Shut the -blam!- up about Sunsingers, I main a Warlock and have a hunter who I'm iffy with. I mostly main sunsinger because I got tired of chunking nova bombs and getting kills with my fusion rifle long ago. Yes the sunsinger nerf to Viking Funeral, ruined that bit of the class, Firebolts aren't threatening enough to remove a guardian from the fight, but they can still kill someone depending. After the nerf I tested the waters, my firebolts are meh. But because they finally graced us with year two Sunbreakers. I can do what is the most fun ever. Sure fusion grenades are the 1 hit stickies, but with Sunbreakers and some work solar grenades are amazing and effective. First, toss away the shit perk VF, we don't need that shit here in PvP only in PvE depending. Switch over to Radiant Will, Radiance now lasts longer. Second, we all know Self-Res is only for clutches in trials or PvE, get that Radiant Skin. Incoming Damage reduced. Third, this shouldn't even be here, but you better have max discipline!!!!!!!!!!! Fourth, toss on those Sunreakers for two Solar Grenades, bam now you can have the sun sitting in front of doorways longer then all the Lord of Cinders combined. Fifth, pop Radiance set shit on fire and profit!! One solar grenades is odd, two is a close call, but toss 5 or 6 around and people start losing their shit and have no where to go. You can trap off players, disorientate their vision because you're throwing mini-suns around, and pick them off one by one. In the fire zone you have grenades ticking away at enemy health, a boost to armor/defense, a -blam!-ing primary and secondary to use, and a one hit melee recharging for you. Practically unstoppable. As a sunsinger the nerf sucked because I lost firebolts, but with radiance and thinking I can do whatever I want with my grenades. Or in better terms, I adapted my playstyle. I can always rely on solar grenades now that i have my yr2 Sunbreakers, and we have a perk that benefits throwing more grenades in that same tree. Hunter and Warlock mains need to reinvent themselves after nerfs. Titans somehow don't ave to worry about this issue, and don't bring up Sunbreakers, because we all had two subclasses to master before yr 2.

        • I just say put everything at it's glory day's stats and then adjust from there. If everything is op (I hate that term), then nothing is.

        • Make shoulder charge an actual melee that is governed by the strength stat. Return Gunslinger tripmines to there former status. Return throwing knives to their former status.

            • It happens because of try-hard kids who complain when they get outclassed. So they look for scapegoats e.g tripmines instead of using common sense and actually 'seeing it!' Lol but I agree the blade and gunslinger is generally weak IMO and thus made hunters not worth playing.

                  • We are in a war with several technologically advanced species. The fallen were once elevated by the traveller, the vex are masters of time, the cabal are superior warriors with no word for surrender and the taken live in a dark dimension of death. I feel that before the last big nerf on sublclasses hunters where in a good spot, I honestly think they are the only class that has ever been balanced and to see them get nerfed was heartbreaking to a day one hunter.                     • blade dance needs a rework badly 1. the grenades all of them besides arcbolt its still good. 2. the super needs a damage increase by 1.5% for PvE cause a hammer does 2.5% more then a blade i know the hammer has very different perks then blade but none the less. 3. most perks need a rework.
