In December, the Cauterize perk cooldown went from zero seconds to 3 seconds. That is actually a lot of time in the heat of battle, and it's probably the main reason Sunbreakers die so easily. Let's lower that a bit to 1.5-2 seconds. Personally I would make 1.75 seconds, but even at two seconds it would be a lot better than the current three.
Obviously, Incendiary grenades need to be fixed. That's a no-brainer. Get them back to what they were!
With Rise of Iron on the way, new exotics will surely be introduced. I have a great idea for an Sunbreaker exotic. Make a helmet that grants Scorched Earth and Fire Keeper! These two perks were made for each other, but I think people don't use them because there are better options. This would easily be the best Sunbreaker exotic available!
And that's it. Sunbreakers are better and more fun to use, but they won't have a reign of terror like they did last fall. Everyone wins!

It's fine the way it is. These buffs and nerfs mess things up for everyone else..my example is nerf shadestep, now we have a bunch of wanna be titans in the crucible SC all the time, which is fine because of easy kills and easy targets, but sucks, because it's gonna mess with titans in the long run..

Hammer travel speed could do with an increase as well. Before the nerf it was easy to dodge the hammers, but even after the June update buff they are still to slow and easy to dodge.

Have hammers be as viable as rockets in year 1. And give them true seeker. And grenades and horseshoes, and what you said, with make the sunbreaker melee suppress you ans slow you. Give their surcharge a 200 foot radius with auto tracking. Make stickies multiply and expand rapidly upon impact making more explosions. There you go, that shouldn't break the game, right?

Giving scorched earth AND fire keeper at the same time without having them equipped in your subclass options would literally break the game, it would be a strategy that would be used way too much

Buff/Fix Sunstrike to deal appropriate initial damage similar to Storm Fist, not just the DoT. 3. Give Suncharge the Bladedancer treatment (less energy consumed on kill.) 4. Fire Keeper could make the Super stop passively draining entirely in Sunspots. 5. Explosive Pyre could apply to all Elemental Abilities. 6. Fleet Fire could also apply Battle Runner when passing through friendly Thermite Grenades & Sunspots. 7. Cauterize could remove backfire damage from your own personal abilities.

I personally feel that Sunbreakers are in a good place right now. Cauterise works great when used properly, Hammer of Sol is [i]finally[/i] an adequate Super and we get Fusion Grenades right off the bat. Spec your subclass just right and Sunbreakers will reap the rewards. Now Sunsingers, [b]they[/b] need some love.

They are fine as is, one hammer kills on impact even if ur in ur super. The only thing is you have to aim now the tracking got nerfed. So, i would say they are in a good place right now.

Sunbreakers recently got buffed and so did Strikers in Fist Of Havok I think Titans themselves are fine.

I would buff the caturize to 1.5 and the tracking beacuse its shit.

Buff arc blade armor and allow for all arc kills to regenerate health like sunbreakers have with their burn kills and Il be OK with the changes u proposed.

Yeah cauterise never activates fast enough so when I try and go off in the spawn they just get me

Biggest issue I still have with Sunbreaker is when Hammers don't register. If I am in a cramped corridor and throw a Hammer at 3-5 people, I expect some -blam!-ers to blow up.

I had an idea to make Explosive Pyre/Fire Keeper also work with Grenades and/ melee.
