This mini-expansion is a Vex focused expansion, after we, the Guardians prevented the Taken from claiming the Vex in the Vault of Glass, they have left us untouched and forgiven. However, the Vex still believe that we are imperfect and should be destroyed. After granting them mercy they have decided to do the same for us in the way of a trial. As is known time to the Vex is relative, since the second of their defeat billions if not trillions of years had gone by in infinite amounts of time and space. With the return of the Vex we see the return of The Stranger, she does the speaking for the Vex and will be the voice for the Trials as we embark through story missions and strikes and raids. That's written correctly "raids," specifically the old raids Vault of Glass and Crota's End. How? The Trials of Time would have three raids, two updated raids V.O.G and C.E, both on hard mode updated to the current light level. The third raid or mythic (Hard like nightfall with weekly only drops like raids) only strike would be brand new and set on mercury.
How will the story work?
1. When we first log into Destiny the quest marker will be above the Tower. Our arrival will be in a cutscene our ship arriving, us walking by different random A.I as they wave, our Guardian makes his/her way to the Hall of Guardians to see The Speaker, Eris, Lord Shaxx, Cayde, Zavalla, and Ikora Rey all gathered around the large table and at the head of the table is the Stranger. She explains the Trials and the return of the Vex than sends you to a Vex citadel on Mercury.
2. Your ship arrives at mercury you maze your way through through the ruins killing Vex until you end up in front of the same same large doors that the pre-staging area to the Mythic Strike takes place. From there you kill multiple waves of Vex. When the waves are dead two Gate Keepers warp in, they are completely neutral and immune to damage. They spawn next to the gate, place there hands on the pillars holding it together and the gate opens like V.O.G revealing a portal. You step through the portal and BOOM! Cutscene. Your Guardian walks through. This is his/her first look at the boss areana, the Guardian looks around and sees the stranger standing in the middle of the platform with two pillars waist high next two her, one pillar has Crota's head, the other Atheon. She explains that the Vex have opened time gates for you to prepare for your upcoming trial and then you return to orbit.
3. A new quest opens requiring you to defeat both Crota and Atheon on the new scaled up hard mode difficulty. It will be the same raid however, for it to make sense the Stranger will narrate your ships warp there and the ending. Crota's End (ship loading screen): "The beast has yet to be defeated in this time, his power grows even greater here, if you can survive this perhaps there is hope." Crota's End (after Crota's death): "The Vex predicted this in your time just as they did here."
Vault of Glass (ship loading screen): This was once your greatest victory, never had the Vex simulated the fall of Atheon." Vault of Glass (after Atheon's death): "Once again you have proved the Vex wrong… (mumble) I just hope you can do it a third."
4. You return to the tower with another cutscene from the Stranger: "You are ready now, ready to send the Vex running from our time. Guardian, you will do what I have tried to do for so long. (You begin walking out and she calls to you again) Guardian, it is not your time nor the Vex… time cannot stop your true destiny."
5. The third raid or mythic (Hard like nightfall with weekly only drops like raids) only strike would be brand new and set on mercury there you would be put against the champions of the Vex, however this is only available by finishing the two updated raids on hard mode. There are three champions of the Vex, a minotaur, a harpy, and a hydra. Each with its own mechanics. The staging area would be very unique, when you first spawn you would be in front of a large vex gate with two stationary gate lords next to it waiting for you to enter. There would also be a heavy ammo box and a special ammo box. When you step through the portal you are atop a giant vex pillar that is square and completely flat, surrounded by a vex barrier. On the outside of the barrier you see floating Vex ruins with The stranger and several advanced looking Vex watching you. When bosses come out The Stranger will announce their names and wish you luck, the staging area will change as well to fit the mechanics of the boss. For example: when the harpy comes out it will constantly be shooting a Medusa's Stare therefore there will be more pillars and walls to hide behind, for the minataur the staging will form new pillars and walls but some of the floor will disapear. The Harpy will cause the staging area to break apart into many floating platform and will often teleport causing you to navagate the floating ruins. Each boss will have an over shield that will only go down when all other enemies are dead note that enemies will spawn at every 25% of the bosses health. When all is over there will be a ending cutscene, (which can be skipped if all fire team members press B or O) The Stranger will give a great speech about ending the war with the Vex but will leave you hanging with: "Time here at least is protected from the wrath of the Vex, but who knows how many trials were lost elsewhere…" then the Stranger will "Vex out" like she normally does and when the cutscene is over a chest will appear in front of the Guardians then like a raid you can leave when ever
6. Return to the tower for a victory cutscene and than get an emblem a shader and your ONE pick of a V.O.G or C.E year 2/3 weapon (primary) that will have elemental power. Standard primary drops while in the scaled up raids will not have elemental damage instead they will have kinetic.

Oh and I get that most players would know how to do Heroic C.E,.and V.o.G . But making to where you can't progress into the story, without beating these raids on hard. Is brutal. I am currently writing up a Cabal expansion, I have the beginning done. Which I think is sort of (Could be better). But so far i'm doing good. Good job, it could be touched up, Grammar and Mechanics.

2 RepliesYa sounds good. I do have a few suggestions though. First, many people are wanting a Cabal themed expansion. Also, alot of people will never beat hard mode on any raid. It may be a better idea to lower the difficulty or make it to where you can select the heroic version. Just a couple quick ideas. Keep it up.

3 RepliesThe only thing I disagree with is the choosing of an elemental primary. If this happened, there would be two guns everyone would choose, Fang and Fatebringer. I would say keep them kinetic or elemental, not two versions.
