A balance issue with Hakke guns

You folks at Bungie have done a good job when it comes to balance... except there are a couple guns I can't seem to work well with... People don't seem to talk about it, but a few guns I can't seem to get working well... My first would have to be Lyudmila style (Highest damage - lowest fire-rate) pulse rifles. This also includes ones like Spare Change. They certainly pack a punch, but i feel like they kick quite a bit, even with the right stability perks. Plus the fire-rate is SO low that making follow-up bursts feels clunky. I don't want you to buff all of that of course. It just doesn't feel right, compensating for recoil, and following up shots. It can't seem to compete with Hawksaw, or Grasp of Malok at any range, and even in PvE it feels clunky. Following the theme of Hakke guns, their 2 sniper rifles are almost identical, save for aesthetics. They are both very "middle of the pack" sniper rifles, not packing the punch of a 1000 Yard Stare, but not the rapid fire of Weyloran's March. This puts them in a comfortable place for follow up primary shots and assists for body-shots, as well as picking off heads. So their archetype is fine, unlike the pulse rifles I mentioned above. One issue in particular I have with them is their reticle is rather clunky on most of their scopes. The circle with the semi-circle around it is kind of obstructive on the scope, and i feel like I can't see what I'm shooting at, almost as if the middle of the circle isn't even clear, having to worry about where the body is, to find the head on the target. Lastly, their aim-assist seems to be lacking compared to sniper rifles like the 1000 Yard, but that may just be the scope messing with me.

  • I completely agree hakke guns are not really all that great and they should be. That blinding effect they have is just as bad as the hard light and its screen shaking

    • Most Hakke weapons REQUIRE certain perks to be even USEABLE. Suros and Omolon come with good base stats so they don't need to rely on such perks. I love Hakke. They are my favorite weapon foundry. But their autos and pulses and handcannons just don't have good base stats to build perks off of so you have to go all in to stability and/or range.
