I wanted to make that armor looks brutal, dangerous... so you don't want to see a traitor-Titan wearing this armor and charging at you. That is why I called it The Armour of the Dread.
The main idea was to make it looks more like a corpse, but "sci-fi" corpse... That is why I stylized the chest piece to be more like a skeleton chest. All armor plates, including legs and arms, have a surface damage like a corrosion, to make them resembling more like a bone, than metal armor. However, under-armor suit have a form of an open muscles, especially on arms and legs.
