It's always tricky how to properly kick a fellow guardian without hurting their feelings or nicely say 'you're the reason we wipe. And would like you to leave.'
There are a couple methods, but how do you do it? Maybe you don't even care how they feel.
Here are some common ways
1) Direct approach - hey it's been good, but we need you to try elsewhere.
2.) Indirect - leave the fireteam and invite all the other players to you and invite them to another chat. However it's tricky when they might have close friends that have skills and want them on the team.
3) Leave the team and try again with LFG (usually have good results there)
4) Being a jerk about it.

2 RepliesIf it's a group on lfg I just leave and join another. I don't care how good the other guys are. I hate hurting other people's feelings so I'd rather just put the burden on myself to find another team, because I know I'm perfectly capable of doing so, and the team I left is capable of finding someone too. And if they kick the guy after I leave, well, at least I don't feel bad because I don't know about it. I'm a bit of a softy lol

16 RepliesEdited by Doink Soulz: 6/5/2016 2:06:46 PMWe had this one kid that we planned on kicking. Once we had enough, I pulled out the old Italy strat, but it didn't work right away xD
Me: Hey (kid), random question: do you know what the shape of Italy is? Kid: What? Me: Yeah, I was having trouble on my homework, and I though you might be able to help. Kid: Well... I don't know what Italy is... *I muted my mic and died of laughter* *mic back on* Me: It's a country in Europe. Kid: Huh? Me: Just Google it would ya? *Kid Googles Italy after asking for the correct spelling* Me: So did you find it? Kid: I think so... Me: What does it look like? *Rest of fireteam (including me) trying to hold in laughter* Kid: Well... It's kind of looks like a boot... Me: What was that? Kid: A boot... Me: Are you sure? Kid: Absolutely! ^-^ Me: If you insist... *kick*
True story...

Usually when someone randomly asks to be promoted to fireteam leader, you know someone's getting the boot.

2 RepliesPlayed trials on all three characters last night, a squeaky kid joined but managed to do alright. This is the conversation that followed when we were done. Squeaky Kid: Do you guys wanna try to go flawless? Me and other guy: I don't man we're both pretty tired. Squeaky Kid: You guys are just saying that because I did so much better than you( Kid did about as good as us lol ) Moment of Hesitation* Me: Hey ______ do you know karate? Squeaky Kid: Of course I do. Me: Cool, then you should be able to block this KICK! Squeaker got kicked, me and other guy laughed for about 5 min. 😄

1 ReplyActually there are more options than this. One time a child joined our raid group, and we tried totems a couple times. Once we realized that he was super young, and not cutting it for the raid. We apologized to him, and told him we just realized that he was a child and he had to leave, because one of the members in our group is a registered sex offender. While that wasn't true he left and we found someone else and finished the raid.

me: do you know Spanish? kid: a little yeah me: adios

I used to feel bad about wanting to kick people. After a couple bad LFG experiences with people not reading what we were looking for or just being horrible my heart has hardened. Now if you sound like you're 9 you're gone. I put adults only in the post, home slice.

2 RepliesWhen I want to kick someone I just say to the party leader "What's the shape of Italy?" and he kicks them

1 ReplyJust say .."BYE FELICIA". and hit the boot button

What do u do with a soccer ball

I got number 4 for using golden gun

Same player dies twice on the same activity. Ie Totems. You get told that a clean run is expected. Player dies again he is removed from the fireteam. Warning given, appropriate action taken. Nothing personal.

My friend is a no nonsense kind of guy. And for good reason as we get clears and do it fast. And Sherpa people threw semi often. Sure We have fun and crack jokes throughout the raid, but if someone is holding us back then it's a direct approach like a manager talking to a half ass employee. He'll say something like: hey (blank) Im sorry but we're gonna have to let you go. Maybe later we'll have a chance to help you threw but for now we just wont do it. Sorry but it won't work. And ive found that to be the best cause it's respectful but truthful.

I've been enjoying asking them what's the name of the gum that cleans up a dirty mouth. Most of the time they're excite to tell me orbit. So, that's where I'll send them Straight to orbit. If they don't know the answer. I'll add it's commercial where there mad they don't get pairs in gum. Its a good laugh and gets the team 're motivated.

2 RepliesEdited by SNYPA: 6/5/2016 4:08:30 PMAs painful and agonizing as it is, I stick it out. I can recall being the "that guy" that kept dying resulting in the entire team wiping. Gratefully, the teams I ran with were patient and understanding. Given that, I try to extend the same common courtesy and explain the mechanics because it takes time to master them.
-
Just kick them from the party Then kick from game. Or kick from game first and talk shit like he is gone, until he actually leaves the party. Even if he speaks don't acknowledge him.
-
I always make a team on lfg, try it out for 30 minutes, and continue if it's a decent team. I'll give said team 10 wipes on one encounter, then if they fail, I'll leave and send the best two players friend requests and a message about starting another team. Rinse and repeat, now I have a huge friends list of very skilled players of all types. Hope this helps.
-
I'll just leave if I'm not leader. Otherwise, I'll kick him.
-
If it's down to skill then no kick. Just relocate the guy or guide him through what he's struggling with. If the rest of the team is solid, one wonderer is ok. Teamwork?
he's is apart of your team right?
It's not tricky at all. If they are clearly the problem and keep causing a wipe or getting themselves killed. I will boot them for the better of the team. You stand to lose more people from simple rage quitting than trying to protect some moron's feelings by not booting him. If I'm assembling a LFG team I tell them upfront if you are unable to complete whatever assignment you are given or repeatedly cause team wipes you will be kicked to orbit. I understand that even the best players occasionally screw up or that sometimes shit just happens in real life that require your attention. But if you are repeatedly the issue you will be dealt with and removed from the fireteam and a replacement will be found.

Tell the reason and ask them to leave, if they don't kick
