It was a post loot cave 1.0 secret add on.. People were not only farming engrams but very fast glimmer. This has been in the game for a long time now and I can agree with why it is there.

not only then...but 6 months ago I would get 43 glimmer for each major cabal...now I get less...why? little things like this are unnecessary.
-
I'd take a second nerf on glimmer if they allow to re roll legendary weapons. Glimmer is pretty low on people's lists.
-
why did they take re-roll away?...they should just focus on new content and bugs...every six months bring something new but enough of the nerfs...this is a good game but the only one I know that can change week to week....glimmer is low and just playing will take care of that but never saw in a patch note that glimmer would be decreased by 3 on killing an enemy..not a big deal, but if you bought something and noticed that the same item is now smaller for the same price most people do notice.

Edited by Maxximus Aurelius Rexx: 5/25/2016 12:17:39 PMI think it ties into Luke Smith's "I'm a hardcore gamer and so should you be too" attitude, it's bad enough I rarely get any good weapons, let alone not being able to re-roll them at my expense (weapons parts/glimmer, nothing sucks more than having a gun fully upgraded and you can't even upgrade it because you have no glimmer or weapon parts), you can really see that hardcore gamer attitude all over Destiny, why not nerf jumping too? It's the only thing left that's seems to be any fun, WEEEEEE!!!!
