Further, why is our currency capped anyway? Legendary marks and glimmer specifically. We earn it and should be able to bank it as we see fit. Total BS. If I spend the hours grinding/farming anything why should I be penalized with a cap? I would love to be able to bank legendary marks and buy a set of weapons/armor from the crucible quartermaster or find a good perk roll from a vendor and supply each of my guardians with said weapon. How many times have you embarked on an daily and then realized you should have hit the tower first to load up on relic iron because you're at 200? On another note- I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BUY F-ING ARMOR MATERIALS!!!!!!!!!!! -bitch session over-

 • Just a word of advice: If you have maxed glimmer, and you're hurting for armor materials - go to your respective vanguard mentor (Ikora if you're a Warlock, etc.), and buy the green armor they're selling. It costs 750 per piece, and you only get a singular armor material out of each one; but it's better than farming for the materials.

 • It's dumb. They will prolly remove it when this game isn't relevant anymore

 • I agree with you. It's bullshit that they cap our currency. If you earn it, you deserve it. They do this to prevent hardcore players from farming currency. They don't want players gaining over 1mil glimmer or 20k legendary marks, because then they would never have to grind again. They could buy their way to a bunch of good gear with every update. The low currency cap ensures that players will be forced to grind at every stage of the game. They know that once you reach end-end game, you have almost no need to spend legendary marks or glimmer, so players would just start banking it to decrease the grind later. Bungie doesn't want that. TL;DR The currency cap is just another way of artificially increasing content by forcing more grinding.

 • There seems to be truth to that, either way you're grinding to build it up. Nobody prevented people from stashing a ton of exotic engrams before the update to reach 335 in 2 hours(slight exaggeration but you get the point). Just something that annoys me I guess. Along with the armor parts not being available for purchase.
