Doom has a higher user score than Uncharted 4?
I find it very strange that Uncharted 4 has such critical acclaim, yet its user base have it a lot lower. Are the critic's out of touch with the gamer's? Maybe they're movie critic wannabes?
I know you will have trolls posting reviews, but the average user score is usually not much different from the average critic score.
Let's use Sony's best exclusive last year called Bloodborne as an example. That has a critic score of 92, user score of 8.6, which isn't much different.
Uncharted 4 has a critic score of 93, user score is only 7.8, why is it so low? Check any high scoring game in recent years, the user score will be fairly close.
Is Uncharted 4 the most overrated game of all time, or are the critic scores an accurate representation of the game? Discuss guys and what is going on?

5 RepliesI love how everyone just blames xbox fanboys for bringing down the score instead of accepting the fact that maybe some people just don't like the game. I personally don't know why those user ratings are different, it's strange. All I can think of is people just aren't enjoying it as much as critics. But who also compares their opinion to others? If you enjoy a game you enjoy a game despite what other people or critics say.

You will get people that would give FF7 a 0/10 just to be a douche, and people that will give SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom a 10/10 just to be a douche. You will have tween Xbox jackasses that will make an account just to rate Uncharted a 2/10 just because the are jealous. The correct answer is an average of alllllllllllll the scores, users and critics. Weigh the critic scores a bit more generally.

10 RepliesDoom is a first person one man army type game. It's gruesome, and beautiful as far as gameplay in its own right. Uncharted 4 is a third person adventure type game, it's story driven, the physics are amazing, and part of a great series. To compare two games who have nothing in common with each other, even their fanbase. Is like comparing a pizza to a lamp.

1 ReplyHeh, the tags in the OP. I played and finished the first three Uncharted games, even played a bit of Golden Abyss. I mostly play on Xbox, but I respect the Uncharted series. But to me they feel like movie games, heck that was even the commercial for Uncharted 2. Makes me think what happens if they make that Uncharted movie and the movie is worse than the games? Though I will admit I played the multiplayer for U3 for a while, even though I wasn't good.

1 ReplySome people don't like the whole "cinematic" appeal of the Uncharted games, which is okay. What I don't like is how they immediately rate the game a 0/10 based off of their personal preference, not how good the game actually is. Considering the fantastic story, outstanding voice work, and revolutionary graphics, it clearly doesn't deserve a 0/10 just because it isn't their cup of tea. I personally love Uncharted 4, but that's just because I love games with a great story, which Uncharted 4 certainly has. I can understand people who don't like it, but that doesn't mean it warrants a 0/10.

1 ReplyMy bet is the reason the user score is slow on Uncharted 4 is because I bet a good amount of the players had never previously played an Uncharted before, and they played this one by all the well deserved hype from fans of the franchise. They either didn't get what they were expecting so they gave it a bad review. Personally as a fan of the series Uncharted 4 is the best game I've ever played.

6 RepliesMetacritic user scores are IMO invalid as measurement of the quality of the game, 99% of user reviews are either 10/10 great or 1/10 crap with very few in between. Also there is no way to check if the user has actualy played the game and for how long. Uncharted 4 is a PS4 exclusive and a big release and that means that for some reasons haters will give it low scores while they never even have played it, and ofcourse some legit don't like the game, and thus give it a 1/10 because with gamers there usualy is no middleground, and often, no common sense. Doom is multiplatform, published by the current most populair publisher Bethesda so I gues less childish behaviour there. It is sad really, no wonder that nongamers think so lowly of gamers considering this behaviour. But for information purpose just read or watch a couple of reviews instead of going to Metacritic, its irrelevent anyway.

1 ReplyI like both games, but DOOM is more of a game than Ucharted. I play uncharted for the story and cutscenes (which are plentiful in the series) while I play DOOM for the mindless gory killing. I may be super biased towards DOOM, but it has more gamplay.

Anyways, it could just be haters bringing the score down just to screw with people but it's fully possible as Doom is a game that looks tailored to just sitting back and kicking some ass while having fun. Doom is a game, while Uncharted is a cinematic story
