But that is the thing, they are "special" and not "primary". Your primary should be the main weapon you are using.
-
This shouldn't be achieved by restricting ammo or making weapons suck. Special weapons are intended to be more powerful circumstantial and less so outside of those circumstances. Bungie makes this primarily about range but then does the same with primaries. There are more creative methods to fixing these problems than the ineffective nerf cycle that causes rotating meta and makes guns less fun to use.

I feel like if they were to force players to fight over special ammo, like how players fought over power weapons in Halo, it would make it more "special". Bungie has this bad mechanic where you snipe a team and then pick up ammo before the round restart or the enemy respawn. It should be more of a reward for waiting out like a super and not something that feels "normal". Does that make sense?
-
It makes sense but the structure of competing for power weapons would also drive a further divide between skill discrepancies. Probably a good idea for trials but not crucible.

They have no clue what to nerf. There is a lot of innovative things they could do but instead they just nerf damage scaling.

Edited by TheShadow: 5/10/2016 2:00:32 PMNerfing everything in whatever weapons category is not helping either. If one scout rifle is so so to use and you nerf them all because of another one. You just made that one that was so so garbage, and many others not worth having.
-
But they allow you to keep ammo in one-hit kill weapons. It takes you longer to kill with any primary than any special. That is where the problem is. They wouldn't spawn you with a power weapon in Halo, so why is it okay in Destiny?
-
Yeah, but Halo was set with weapons and you worked with what you got. Destiny is Unlimited.
-
But you could limit weapons if you don't have ammo for it. You could spawn with a shotgun or a sniper in Halo, but what is purpose of it if you have no ammo?
-
That's Bungie for ya lol.

Yeaj, hopefully they fix all the problems
