Honestly it sounds great, but won't happen because why lose the ability to make more money off the consumer.

The consumer pays to have what they need right? If the requirements aren't made for that to happen, then the consumer stops buying products from the company. Then the company starts losing lots of consumers.

They won't lose a majority of the consumers though. People are dumb enough to fork out all that extra money again.
