I'm sorry to hear this, Mike.
Unfortunately, there is nothing Bungie can do, as they do not dispense any free content or codes.

I see. Unfortunately, they removed that version of the game digitally to clear up any confusion with TTK and the other expansions. Bungie wanted to try and get everyone on the same page, expansion wise.
