I my opinion, it is ridiculous how easy it is to reach 335. It's so pathetically easy, a person who knows nothing at all about the game can be carried up to 335 by their friends. Its not like the old days when you actually had to work to get good gear, and get to level 30, 32, or 34. Now its a breeze to become extremely over powered. Especially with the three of coins bull. Its no longer the fun challenging game I knew and loved, feel free to criticize my opinion as much as you wish.

1 ReplyGot there fast. Now I'm grinding for gear perks and load outs. I'm so glad to see other Titans now that aren't looking like a tiny pointy headed dinosaur
-
i agree, even though I'm only 334 i haven't put in much effort to get there and the chase is nearly over within 2 weeks! gonna be a boring 5 months till the next raid / dlc / whatever is coming. i'd rather have to work for stuff like the ol days! not get everything just for participating!
-
I believe the point of being able to lev up faster is to be able to diverisfy yourself more. So we'll be able to use more of a variety of weps/ armour and keep the lev up
-
I agree with your post but you also have to think of how long people are playing. The main problem is that people are playing this game for to long a day.
-
I was going to post something similar. I thought the last version of leveling was a little bit too much, but this is far to easy. There is nothing left to do except to hunt for a few vanity items. I was 334 on all three of my guardians in the first week and 335 in the second week.
-
It really is, got to it in less than a week, but I'm just glad that I can diversify my armor a but more now. Instead of basically being forced to use the stuff from the raid.
-
Its not like the old days when you actually had to work to get good gear, and get to level 30, 32, or 34.
Lmao you mean grind the same mundane activities week in and week out? Yeah, screw that.
-
Plz dont make it harder.
-
JS? Funny seeing you here

5 RepliesPiss off, with HoW I had 3 34's by the weekend it came out without trying, now with this update it's taken 2 weeks and I'm only 328 on 1 character, try not powering through content, it's only a bloody update.

2 RepliesEdited by blackheart0129: 4/27/2016 9:10:47 AMSeriously? Even back on year one, most specially in VoG, there's only a handful of gear that can somewhat be considered "earned" in this game. It would seem a tad bit easier now specially with the first three Challenge of Elder mods being somewhat of a joke and all, but that doesn't mean the gear from VoG or Crota's End were more earned than the newer gear. It could've been just as easy to carry someone through the raids back then as it is to carry someone through PoE42 now. Specially on VoG, at least in PoE 42 you were at least required to fight all three bosses to get anything. In VoG all they did was push and they'll have a chance to get gear. It's actually quite hilarious to think that any Destiny gear is truly earned.

3 RepliesEdited by AtlasReverie: 4/27/2016 9:06:12 AM"A rising tide raises all ships" I'll keep this very short and sweet... have been playing this game since the alpha and have usually had pretty good RNG as far as drops. Case in point a week after srl all 3 of my characters hit 320 and I was one of the very few people to have achieved that very early. Flash forward to right now and I'm in the same boat with having 3 max light characters, and I'm stoked. More than anything I'm happy people are able to get their characters leveled up quicker because it does so much good. Not to generalize but I really think having everybody able to achieve that high light level they're grinding for is awesome and I'm happy for everybody. In the grand scheme of things it really removes a lot of the elitist crap that comes with some people being Max light level e.g.: the days when not having a Gjallarhorn you were typically passed over in favor of people who did. Same goes for the "forever 29" bs. Things are different in Destiny now and I couldn't be happier... not just for myself but for all of us Guardians. DESTINY IS FINALLY GETTING REWARDING FOR THE TIME YOU PUT IN! BOOYA BUNGO! Seriously, Thank You for valuing my time more Bungie. <3
-
I notice that too and this is what players wanted. Completing content is a lot more rewarding now. I got two 335 drops from ib normally those drops would have been 280 and I'm 334. I think they are preparing players for something bigger this update is just here so everyone can be the max level when that time comes.

Edited by Xenomorph: 4/27/2016 9:57:03 AMSo Destiny 1 is reaching the end of its life cycle, and the progression system is now finally fun. Surely you remember fun? With the end near, why shouldn't we finally feel like the powerful characters we're meant to be in the game? Why shouldn't everyone get to feel like that? So what if noobs are the same light as veterans? Do veterans have experiences that noobs don't? Yes? So what's more important... Experience or some number? I'm a Beta/Day 1 veteran that's clocked up considerable time in this game, and I couldn't care less at this point about anything other than what I've gotten out of Destiny compared to anyone else. Just my opinion though.

I think it's more about the loot now, getting those package weapons etc etc
-
Not from where I'm sitting... Lol. I'm on an oil platform and can't make any progress till I get back. Stuck at 330. :(
-
I agree it's the same as when HoW came out, before the update I was 319 on all characters for months and months, all I wanted were 320 class items, I now have three 335s but players on my friends list who were 300 before the update and they wasn't very good are also 335 now.
-
F*ck me. I'm done. F*ck this shit. Bungie finally fixes shit RNG and people still bitch about it. F*ck this i quit, i'm out.
-
Yes I agree I understand that people might have time like the super grind type of players but isn't the point of a grinding gave to grind.
-
The challenge is not 335 light but to specialise your built and to have fun
-
-
As light levels don't really affect other players (I can still get one shot killed from someone using ice breaker who's 298 and I'm 334) what difference does it make what light level somebody is.
-
Wow, just wow! Work for gear? How did people have to work for gear? It's rng dude so the majority of year 1 progression was down to lucky drops. Same as year 2 but it's double rng. Now they have multiple ways to level up which is how it should be. Levelling up should be fun and now it is. People who don't work and gorge every hour of the day levelling up are always going to level up quickly. Where as people who have a life with work and kids will find there is plenty to do and will like the level system. I say keep it the way it is now.

9 RepliesBefore the update majority of players were complaining about how the grind was too much and how the loot was terrible. Now they fixed the loot problem and you still have the nerves to complain. Seriously, when are you people satisfied?
