I used marks to unlock it from the kiosk since I still had the year 1 versions when ttk launched
I love them. I prefer void walker for thematic reasons but these things keep me using sun singer

Damn I completely forgot I could do that! How much does it cost? Is it only marks... Cause I think I remember we need an exotic shard too?

Unlock is, I think , either 120 or 150 marks Then you need to pay the vendor kiosk a share to actually get it But you need to have had the item in your inventory when ttk launched or gotten it later

Well I had them all of year one basically. I even used my year one version on ttk for a bit. Then I just dismantled them because I replaced them with alchemist robes.
