Tips in surviving the April Update!

So the new update dropped and with that comes some changes in the way we play PvE. I’ll be sharing some tips on how to maximize your PvE experience and ensure survivability while having fun! 1. Sniper rifles with Triple Tap is your best friend. With the ammo changes in Crucible affecting the reserves in PvE, Triple Tap is the perk to look for when it comes to sniper rifles in doing DPS to bosses. It grants you a bonus shot when you do 3 consecutive head shots. This way you can unload a magazine to a boss at least 5 times (considering most snipers have 4 shots per mag). Spray and Play is another good perk as well in combo with this. 2. Have an armour that grants you increase machine gun ammo in your reserves. Since the update, Quillim’s Terminus (both Normal and Harrowed) ammo reserves have been dropped down to 110 in total compared to 157 before. This means that you need to use your heavy ammo very wisely. Another good machine gun to use is Thunder Lord, as it has a Field Scout perk on it which pushes the total ammo to 150. Also, Titans can use Ruin Wings to have a better chance of finding heavy (I know this is somewhat of a lie at the moment). 3. Have at least a weapon of each element in your inventory. This is something some players don’t really put in their loadouts. Nightfalls and, possibly, Challenge of the Elders will have modifiers that do burns (Arc, Solar, and Void). It’s always best to have a sniper, fusion rifle, machine gun and rocket launcher with different elements to combat the situation. I know this is an obvious one but this is a good reminder. 4. Put on your max Light Level before ending each activity. This will grant higher chances of receiving equipment with higher Light than you are now. King’s Fall Hard Mode, Challenge of Elders, Nightfalls and Strikes are the roads to 335. 5. To maximize the rewards received, do the Snowball effect. Have your alts do the grinding first then consolidate every item that you get to your main character. This way you can have your main get higher items as much as it can and then transfer them down to your alts if there are spares. 6. Voidwalkers are best friends. With the new changes to the Voidwalkers, they now have the ability to trigger Life Steal even without wearing The Ram or using the perk in the perk tree. I believe Life Steal also triggers to allies, but only works if the Voidwalker kills something. This needs more confirmation. That’s all I can say for the mean time. If there will be changes in the near future within the update, I’ll make some changes and let everyone know. Leave a comment if you have something to add or suggest.
