Higher light level engrams - Not working
With the April update, engrams were meant to produce items of a higher level than your light level. I'm a 312 warlock that gets gear level 270-290 from engrams. Am I doing anything wrong or is this to be fixed?

Am I the only person who can not use blue engrams as fusion fuel?

1 ReplyAnyone else starting to get green drops and level 30 blue engram drops? All my characters have maxed subclasses and sit at 320 or above and I still see these drops. Just started after update.

Agreed the baseplate blue item drops are better but engrams are not.

I recently decrypted 3 legendary engrams and all of them dropped gear at lower then my light level. Was worried I ran into a glitch. Then I saw the reply to your post and it appears that only certain legendaries and exotics are guaranteed to drop higher. Guess I'll be doing more prison of elders. The also happened with over a dozen rares I decrypted so it looks like just bad RNG luck for me :(

Same here, all my engrams and loot are always lower than my light but only get items higher than my light when I get my faction rewards for leveling them up

3 RepliesIt is not every engram, that would be rickdickulous. Faction upgrade packages, banshees, and shaxx weekly rewards will give you higher light level gear. Trials as well. Pretty much everything else is an "up to" situation. Exotic engrams will decode at a LL higher than your current total. Do tier 3 Court for a better artifact.

I havent had luck with getting higher engram's but the drops are better than before update
