The sword, custom made by Hawkwind Armaments, is roughly 6ft in length, the pommel being 1ft and the blade measuring 5ft. The weapon is considered a greatsword by normal peoples, however its size makes the large blade a normal sword in the hands of the 9ft tall giant, Lydia Frye. In the pommel, lies a trigger that activates an agent inside the blade called Phoenix-Fire, a mixture of metals and other materials that form an especially deadly thermite. This transforms the weapon from an ordinary sword to a cobalt flamed weapon of destruction. The fire extends the blade another 3ft, making the weapon a total 9ft in length, although it weighs the same. Magnetic fields are uses to contain and shape the fire, and create the longer blade effect. The weapon is wielded with a 3ft curved dagger, held in the left while the sword is in the right. Using the dagger to parry incoming attacks or make rather fascinating combinations of blade and dagger. Most combinations involves jabbing the dagger into the ground and utilizing the weight of the blade to create spinning attacks or hooked attacks.
